Barranquilla Apartments

Anybody here have any information about short-term apartments in the nothern section of Barranquilla? Preferably in the vicinity of the mall or Bodytech.

I will be staying here for part of my time in Barranquilla.
(North of Barranquilla, around the corner from Hotel El Prado, and across the street from my favorite eating place in B/Q, Pizza Loca)

Brilander I do have a contact for an appart in barranquilla, reasonnable prices, great appart, and big in the barrio Villa Carolina...I had to stay there when I went in March but finally stayed only in cartagena ...if you want his info shoot me a PM or anybody else..he is very helpfull, professional and have several appartments also in bogota and other cities!

I wrote these guys. The prices are reasonable and the website looks great, BUT they want me to sent a 50% deposit by western union and do not accept credit cards. I wrote back asking if i could wire the money to their bank account--that way i have a record---and received no reply.

Is the management trustable?????

is there anyway to do business w/o western union transfer of 50% of the total price in advance? is a credit card possible w/ a surcharge?

mattress comfortable?

Hi Miami Bob,

I just noticed the wireless internet last trip. I didn't use it since I didn't bring my laptop, so I do not know about speed.

In the past I did use a credit card to pay, and there was a surcharge. Recently, the apartment requested 1/2 payment using Western Union as a down payment, and when I arrived to pay the remainder with cash. I would suggest only talking with the owner when sending money through Western Union.

To be honest I never had a problem with the mattresses, but I can sleep on almost anything.

Remember this apartment is managed by Colombians using their standards.

The apartment staff are very nice. On my last trip my father came, also. One day I came back to the apartment to find the lady in charge of all the staff hand squeezing oranges to make juice for my dad. Amazing!!!!!!!
