Thumbs up Bogota Apartments/ Colombia Lodgings

I just want to put a little blurb up for Bogota Bob's Place Colombia Lodgings. First of all you are not staying at the Ritz here, but it has all you need, cable TV, kitchen, quiet neighborhood, nice sized rooms, living room! The upsides are costs about 50ish per night. He has a b& b too, around the corner, where you get a complimentary breaky! He has internet service there too, you can also get pretty much any service you need. He has a flower delivery service, car service, law service, well at least the right connections in that legal departmen, he know the system and how it works in BOGOTA, and he has a very hot secretary!

A lot of the women I met lived close to him so that was a plus for a couple of dates! As well as for me I really enjoyed being there it reminded me of the neighborhood where my ex calena novia lived in cali! If you always stay in the Radisson o Dann Carlton, than you might not ever see the real colombia, only the amercanized version!

Down sides, a little far away from the uptown action. Not a five star hotel. The neighborhood although average in Colombia, might be uncomfortable for some newbie, but definetely not the well travelled man!

Overall for LL it was a thumbs up!

Well said LL..... I like to keep it real and lay low! Five star is nice but what you really want is to draw the least amount of attention to yourself as possible.

No nickel and diming with Bob for phone calls etc etc. I have enjoyed every stay with him! Bob's Vonage phone for free calls to the US is brilliant. Other places want up to a buck a minute..... I say bull**** to that!

Oh yaa free calls too, Bob saved my ass, I couldn't get my cell phone to work there , and I used his vonage to call At&t and that took about an hour to fix. That would have been a $120 bill on my cell. By the way there were some very attractive and friendly women in this neighborhood, there is a panaderia around the corner, where I got the best colombian tamale ever!

Thanks for the kind words guys, I have always tried to give a traveler good service and everything needed at an affordable cost. (at times that can be a challenge here!)

A BUCK A MINUTE!!! Geez I'm missing out!! Actually, as for the free U.S./Canada phone calls, I'm in the lodging business I'm not a phone Co. It's a Vonage phone, for something that cost me 30.00 bucks a month I'd be embarrassed to charge anything for someone paying to stay here.

Bob is a saint. Lodging is only a small part of his services. You can get anything you want from Bogota Bob exceptin' most stuff strictly prohibited by law. Just like Alice, but that's another story. In the short time I've known Bob, in addition to lodging, I've gotten invaluable advice, translation services, monthly inexpensive flower delivery, christmas shopping and, did I mention, invaluable advice? He even helped track down my novia when she went AWOL for a short period. All this is done by Bob without hesitation, efficiently and expediently and at ridiculously reasonable fees. He is one of a kind.

Sounds good. I would like to know:

1.) Do you know if he has anything in the neighborhood of $400-$600 USD for a 2 week period? I'm finding the x-mas season a bit tough to find anything.
2.) I require the ability to hook up my router into a high speed connection for my vonage account. Can this be arranged?
3.) How close of a walk are the apartments to the Parque 93?
4.) What is the proximity to the airport?
5.) Is there a kitchen in the apartment? If so, are there any grocery stores nearby?
6.) Is there a gym nearby?

I can't answer all, he has a phone in the apartment, he has vonage in the b&b, yes I think you could make the 400-600 dollar range, but it is a little late in the season to try to get a place now. We are already into Chirstmas and you know that the country has a huge influx of people around the holidays!

Parque 93 is probably like walking from queens to manhattan!

15 minutes or less to the airport!, kitchen in the aprtments, yes!! Not sure about the gym, but if you are gonna walk to Parque 93, you won't be worried about the gym!

Email BOB, Mr MArk! he won't sugar coat anything! He well let you know if it will work for you, and if not he is the kinda guy that might help out somewhere else!

Now that we know you know English or have access to translator, you can translate this:

Dude, this ain't no PC gaming site and I'm not in the market to buy a character and play warcraft for $225 bucks. Nuts
