Tinto, I had an apartment rented from that bozo at bucaramangacity and he rented it to someone else after we already had it confirrmed... They are highly (or at least were) unorganized.. I never heeard of Eduardo , it was some chick.. If it is the same apartment they show on that site.. DONT GO THERE.

I do not recomend them at all that is why I ended op at club campestre, me 8 o 9 days at the apartmenet wasnt valued much. They told me they had someone who wanted it for 6 weeks and they were flying in for a surgery.. So they just left me hangin like 4 days before I arrived.. If I hadnt of called to check in they would never had told me..

I paid about $140 or so.. a night last octubre, dollar sucked back than they were doiing a lot of constrcution at the time.. Maybe its better, now. My ex novia''s boss owns The SHOPPINNG MALL down the road from there and a few other in colombia, he helped me get a room which was nice, but the room wasnt all that.. The dann is a true 5 star.. Club campestre is neat location and if all the contrcution is done and it is cleaned up a bit, it might actually be a lot better now. But I wasnt impressed.. I had a view of the 10 poor ass campetre men working in the pool for the week , it was horible constrcution while I was there starting at 7 a.m. in the morning...

have you stayed at that hotel tinto. do you know this guy in person. If so let him know he made a big mistake, I have had 3 or 4 pms over the year from people asking me about apartments there. He missed out big time!!

Sorry you had a bad experience. As I mentioned before, I was invited by Eduardo on an all day tour. He was very helpful and went way out of his way accommodating me while I was in Bucaramanga. If you want to reach him you can contact him directly at his email.

I toured the Campestre but never rented a room there although did see one. I thought the facilities were very nice as demonstrated on their web site.

Different strokes, different folks.

I might add that there are eight recommended hotels listed on www.bucaramangacity.com on the left hand side of their home page. Lots of good information on that web site that was designed by Zuan who does all the nice photography work as well.

If you are looking for a nice hotel try the Casa de Campo (I think that is the place I'm thinking of) in the northern part of town. Although I did not stay there I did visit their facilities and wished I would have stayed there. It has everything that you would want. I think you find in the archives me mentioning this place. The prices seemed very reasonable and if you bring a lady friend there she'll be impressed.

The best web site I've come across on Bucaramanga is

http://www.bucaramangacity.com/

I met the owner who is a wonderful guy that just loves his city and has gone to quite some expense doing such a great web site. Look under the link "clubes" not just "hoteles" for lodging.

If you haven't been to B/Manga yet I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Just watch out for one of their strange customs, eating these nasty looking fat-assed (ElCap'n made me say that) ants! Yuck!
I've heard about those ants. Colombians say they taste like popcorn.

Then I usually tell them I've never seen any Colombians eating popcorn. Some "food" for thought......

I'm going to visit my novea in Buca from March 3-8. I'm staying at a Bed and Breakfast: http://www.antiguabelen.com. From the website it looks clean and pleasant with good reviews. Only $45/night for a deluxe room and it's located near the Dann and International Hotels. I'll reply with my experience when I get back.

It is one of the best hotel in the town. I've stayed at this hotel twice now on trips to Bucaramanga. The only thing that I dislike about this hotel was the slow service at the restaurant during the breakfast time. Otherwise all the things are best.
