Default Cali Hotels

I am heading to Cali on the 31st of May arriving at 9PM. I have looked at the list of hotels recommended on this site. I was wondering what would be the best place to stay close to Unicentro. The young lady I am going to visit lives about 10 minutes north of Unicentro. I don't want to stay too far North or the taxi rides will add up and take a lot of time as many are aware of the bad traffic in Cali. Granted I am sure on occasion we will go north but I think most of our time will be in the south.

There is a Hotel called the metropolis closer to the sur de cali only minutes from unicentro! I would say is is a 3 star , stayed in its penthouse suite for 89 bucks, although it is far from our standard of penthouse, decent place but not in the greatest neighborhodd! But they have a good staff

Thank you both for your replies. I think I am going to stay at the Toscana since it is half a block from my girls apartment. I will let you know how that goes.
