Contrasting Latinas and Pinoys

I’d like to offer a comparison between Latinas and Philippinas. I obviously have had a lot more contact with Latinas, two marriages, over twenty trips, living in Costa Rica for seven months compared with two two-week trips to the Phils. In the first few days, I knew that things were different and I’d like to share my observations.

Latinas (especially Colombians) are in my view the most beautiful women in the world. In addition to their beauty a Latina has a way of carrying and exuding her sexuality which is incomparable. I do feel that they have learned that their sexuality is their biggest asset and they have learned to use it to their benefit. Latina culture is machista and a woman in not as valued as a man in the workplace. There are many successful women but overall not in proportion to their ability or educational level. Latinas have learned to use this asset to maximum benefit and they are capable of manipulating this situation to their advantage. Like AW, they are looking for the best deal they can get. The only difference, from the gringos point of view, is that we have more to offer monetarily than many Colombianos, so Latinas often feel that we offer them the best deal. We have all seen the social misfit gringo with a trophy on his arm and understand that it isn’t because of his good looks or his clever repartee.

I saw lots of beautiful women in the Phils but I feel that Colombians are still a notch above. Almost immediately I fell in love with the Filipina personality. Their sweet ways and gentle charm are NOTHING like American or Latina women. They want to make you fall in love with them and often succeed. It's almost guaranteed that if you go to the Philippines, you will be counting the days until you can figure out some way to return.

Fiilpinas are probably not as sophisticated as Latinas because they don’t have the defense mechanisms for self-protection, they are too quick to trust, too quick to love and not all people are worthy of this amount of trust immediately. They also are much more willing to pay deference to their man, to accept what he wants to do, sweetly and without a fuss.

No discussion of the Pinoy is complete without mentioning TAMPO. This can best be described as a sulking fit that the Philipina has when things are going badly. I will say that Alba punched me on several occasions and Nidia called 911 when she left her keys in the car and thought I stole them from her. I’ll take tampo anyday over that.

Fiilpinas are an addiction, to the extent that they deserve a warning label. They are beautiful and having been a Spanish colony for 350 years have many of the same physical attributes as Latinas but what distinguishes them is their incredible sweetness and they way they treat a man.
