Next Saturday, I return to the Philippines for ten days. Divina and I are going to spend several days in Manila and then fly to Davao in Mindinao for about a week.

I am the first one to say that I am still just getting to know Divina. We’re spent six weeks together over a seven month period. This is going way slower than my relationships with Nidia or Alba so that is at least a good thing. I was seriously involved with each of them after two weeks which is pure idiocy.

We’re going to celebrate Divina’s twenty-first birthday in Davao on the Friday October 13th. Hopefully that day will be lucky. For those of you who think there are negatives about her age, I will tell you the positives. She has absolutely no baggage. She’s never had a bad relationship with a man so she trusts me without reservations. No woman should trust a man as much as she trusts me but I can only try and be worthy of her trust.

Besides being together, our other goal is to explore where we want to start my retirement and right now it’s either Davao or Dumaguete (where we’ll stay in December). It’s a long flight but the Philippines is worth it.

Obviously we wish you the best of luck...and keep us posted on your thoughts in regards to Davao, and Dumaguete.

Trust is a big responsibility Jim, however I think you always have that gnawing in the back of your mind.

I'll PM you tommorrow about some questions on Davao...

Hey Jim,

GOOD FOR YOU, glad to hear your off again, more power to ya! I have some similar concerns that you mentioned with my new woman Gladys, she is young also:

Everything Jim has said in that quote I have seen in Gladys, EXACTLY. She trusts me endlessly and I am amazed, there is NO baggage with her and it is soooo refreshing.

Jim I wish you the best, that goes without saying. (You give me inspiration that Gladys and I can work). I think you keep trying, your're gonna strike it rich with her. It seems like you have found some of the formula for happiness. I know I have and I can only say it has not come as I expected it would.

Keep us posted, WE will keep you in our thoughts.

Jim,

Good luck,

Smart to keep her in the Philippines. Taking off the rose colored glasses and realizing if you bring her to the U.S. she will have a lot of options and most likely the relationship will not pass the 2 year green-card stage takes guts and self honesty.
