Philippine trip report

I have been requested to post a trip report on my recent visit to the Philippines. I think I'm going to take a stab at it.

In scanning the posts in the new forum, I'm surprised at the resistence to a non-LA country forum. Maybe you start off in Colombia, but going on these boards leads in all different directions. The purpose of these boards is finding a good woman to marry whose a cut above what is available here, and having good times and adventure in the process. Perhaps theres a loyalty factor that develops after expending so much energy time and money in pursuit of latinas. But to close off discussion of a gold mine like the Philippines because this is a "Latin" board seems petty and small minded to me.

Why shut off avenues of information? But I digress.

I'm a three timer to Colombia. Although I made TONS of bad mistakes, I'm still here, and HIV negative (its a miracle). The memories adventures and experiences (good, bad, harrowing lol)are priceless and I relish them all.

Ive been to CTG three times and Cali twice. A little BAQ action as well. My second trip was a one woman trip. A bad move that I thought I had learned from.

My 3rd trip was Cali/CTG, and wanting to make up for my one woman 2nd trip, I went completely overboard. ****ed everything in sight sin remorse. Started believing my own hype and took a stunner to CTG with me. An 11 day whirlwind. Whatever her intentions were, it wasnt love and marraige. But she put up a good front, and those days in CTG were unbelievable.

After the inevitable flame out, someone on the board mentioned Cherry Blossoms, so I took a look at it. I set up a quick profile so I could navigate around, but didnt pay the membership fee. So I could look at stuff but not respond or chat.

I stayed in this non active mode for a few months. I would get emails al the time. Most I wasnt interested in, and I found it all somewhat amusing. Then around Thanksgiving I was bored, and decided to pony up the $20 to have full access. They have this instant chat feature that I must (sheepishly lol) admit I became hooked on. They have women fron all over the world, but on the chats its dominated by Filipinas.

I'm completely into Asian women, so this seemed like an interesting segue from the Latin thing. Like a forehead smacker. Yeah, Asian women Blind devotion to the Latin thing is what I think a lot of guys get afflicted with.

In the chats I would be bombarded with invitations. Asian culture takes the age gap thing to new extremes. Nothings off the table (I'm 42) Usually it starts off in the chat, then you move to Yahoo if you want to see each other on camera. The difference in the photos against actual was stunning. NEVER EVER trust photos. A little cutie in a photo can be seriously fugly in real life all too often. Then your stuck wasting time in a chat your dying to get out of.

Chatting is a serious time waster, I recommend it only if you have large blocks of time with nothing better to do. Like post trip reports.

I have a monger buddy who swears by the Philippines, and I had never been to Asia, so I was predisposed to wanting to check it out. Sex based business in Asia is legendary, and it boggles my mind that there is no equivalent here in the USA. I really find this to be a pathetic state of affairs.

I met a girl who looked really good on the cam, great rack, and we got really friendly. We would chat every night. I started considering a journey. But I was mindful of my 1 woman experience from before, and swore I would never repeat it.

But there's this hopeless romantic side to me that believes in true love and all that, and before you knew it I had signed on to another one woman trip, against my inner monger screaming NOOOOO.

By the time I left, the relationship had become completely sexualized, so I knew I would be getting plenty, and I rationalized that that sweet rack and pretty face would keep me satisfied. Plus, my wanton ****ing in Colombia had sent me on some serious rollar coaster rides, physically and emotionally, and after my last trip I swore to myself that if I came out OK I would never be such an idiot again. Well I did come out all right, so there was incentive to stay clean.

But having scores of exotic beauties at your fingertips is rock to ****ing scissors.

I'm going to leave off for now, if anyone is interested in hearing the rest of this I will continue later.

I think the common element we all have is that we're not interested in AW and understand that the solution requires getting on a plane.

It wasn't too long ago that this forum was just about Colombia and there were no threads for other latin countries. When I moved to CR in 2003, there was no CR thread and I know a few people who went to CR because of posts on this board.

Anyway, I got to Hong Kong from Lax in about 12 hours. The flight was pleasant. I always leave around midnight, so I can sleep. I had some dinner, read, slept, watched some movies, and before you know it we were landing. I was feeling good.

I had an eight hour layover in Hong Kong, and I was eager to scope out the city. The airport was ultra modern, and the talent was outstanding. Babes everywhere. I dumped my carryon bags in a locker, got some HK money and rolled out. I had a really heady feeling. I'm in ****ing Hong Kong!

Theres a tram that comes right to the airport. Its like a high speed subway car. You get in and it whooshes you right downtown. Since I was time constrained I decided to go to Kowloon, which was a little closer to the airport than the actaul downtown Hong Kong shopping district. 20 minutes and I was there.

When you get off the tram, theres an attendant right there that escorts you over to your taxi. Pretty cool. So I get in the taxi. I have no idea if the guy speaks English, so I opted for the tried and true KISS method. "Beer and girls" I said. The guy laughed and said everything was closed. ****! Nothing? Come on, I implored. There's gotta be something. Nope. It was 9 am on a Sunday. The place was deader than a doornail.

He let me off at a Starbucks, so I got a cup of Joe and started walking around. There was lots of stores and alleys. There's Middle Eastern guys on every corner hawking tailored suits. I walked all over. I saw tons of massage places and cool looking bars. On some of them, the door was open to a long stairwell. But it looked sketchy and I didn't want to **** with it.

After a few hours I stumbled onto an area that was just awesome. It was street after street of all these fascinating looking clubs, shops, and restaurants. The streets were festooned with decorations hanging overhead from side to side. I was thinking that on a Friday night this place must be insane.

Around noontime the streets filled up. There was like 10 zillion people out. Tons of fine looking women. A hooker propositioned me. Now this was more like it. Her opening bid was around $60 US. I figured $40 would do the trick if I was inclined, which I wasn't.

Me and my girl had talked a lot about sex, and I didn't want to expose her to anything. My 3rd Colombia trip I had mixed mongering with regular girls, and it caused problems. Beyond that, I had to come to grips with what a complete ****ing asshole I was, because I put the Calena at risk. Then she developed some problems in her vagina. She was sure that I had infected her. Although everything came back negative, the damage was done.

I will never ever repeat this mistake. Learn from it, my friends. It's bad enough thinking you might have an STD or HIV. But passing it on to someone else? I had a lot of reevaluating to do. So before I left I got another HIV test which was negative, giving me two in nine months since the last Colombia excursion. So I felt good about that, and staying clean was gonna trump everything this time around.

Hong Kong looks amazing, and I would really like to go back again.

My girl lives In a place called Cebu. I was the last person through customs (I always saunter when I walk, no matter what, and I let others do the mad dash from the plane). There my girl was, waiting for me. She looked pretty good, but I was a little disappointed. She looked hotter on the cam. She was OK, but I wasn't thrilled. But, I decided to give it a chance.

She was with her brother and aunt (who turned out to be a real hag). We loaded my gear in the taxi and took off.

Anybody whose been to Colombia can picture what Cebu looks like. I had an instant familiarity. All the earmarks of the third world were present. Unpaved roads, broken and crumbling infrastructure, grafitti, the obvious poverty. If you've ever walked around the barrios of Colombia, this is Cebu.

We got to the hotel, and on the steps there was about four hookers. I went to register, and while looking around the lobby, I locked eyes with this stunner, who was burning holes in my eyes as her elevator door closed. Jesus. This wasn't going to be easy.

Everyone wanted to go out and eat, so I said sure why not. So we go walking down the street. We passed a couple places that were obviously girly bars. I was thinking this is really going to be rough.

We got to the restaurant, and I ordered the most expensive plate, sizzling steak. It was godawful, tough as a boot, and came with like four french fries. Aw **** it, I thought, surely not every place is this bad. And of course, dinner was on me. Gee, doesn't that sound familiar? I'm sure none of you fellas can relate to that.

My girl stayed with me the 1st night in the hotel. Nothing happened. I tried to kiss her and she shied away. Hmm. Whatever, I was tired and wanted to sack out. So I stripped down to shorts and a wife beater and jumped in bed.

In the morning, me and my girl finally started kissing, and next thing you know we were going at it. She was completely inexperienced ( I knew this already). She didn't know how to kiss, nothing. And that fine ass rack? Well it was OK, but not the glory I was expecting. But decent.

Then right in the middle of it the phone rings. Guess whose in the lobby? Why her aunt of course. Nosy *****. She wanted to come up to the room. My girl, having no experience in such matters, tells her ok, and suddenly I'm frantically running around the room trying to find some clothes and hiding stuff that I didnt want her aunt to see.

I had a GF whose son would always come a knockin as we were going at it, and this reminded me of that.

So we got out of there and headed to the apartment that I was going to rent. The guy who helped with the bags, I thought I was tipping him a couple bucks but it turned out to be the equivalent of a twenty spot. The dude looked like he just won the lottery. We all had a good laugh about that.

My girl had found this apartment for me, and it was $300 for a whole month (although I wasnt staying a month). It worked out to about $15 a day. But man was this place a ****hole. You talk about roughing it. I'm not the kind of guy who needs everything just so. You give me a pillow and I'll hit the floor and be ok with it.

I'm out of gas fellas. I'll pick it back up later.

Great trip report, and I can see you're gonna keep us hanging on your every word...so far it sounds as if you almost wished you'd stayed in HK...LOL...and I can tell you're on the verge of doing something, because I know Cebu...and a so-so face, and an alright rack is not the norm there!! The Cebuana's have a history that precede's them for their beauty...so now you've got me curious as to what the next few days holds...especially since you're just getting ready to check into the "Departmentos de Mierda"....we're waiting...so get typing!!

Somewhere along the line, I thought that Gringos was supposwed to be a supportive environment. I can take the criticism, but your heavy handed boorishness is beyond contempt.

I remember when you came on the boards Austin. You post on every topic, and are an authority on everything.

I have used condoms, of course. But they break, fall off, whatever. And they dont protect against everything. Isn't this rather obvious Austin? Surely a man with your breadth of knowledge and wisdom doesn't need every detail spelled out for him. Would you like me to explain why it gets dark at night?

I was trying to make the point that I had learned a hard lifes lesson and that I was going to be a man and heed it. I guess that was lost on you Austin, in your knee jerk rush to spew venom.

As for losing your respect, I'm trying real hard to give a ****, but it just aint happening.

I guess the anonymous nature of the internet removes whatever restraint people might have in ordinary conversation.

If you have a negative take then bring it. I can take it. But show some class. Your utter lack of humility is repulsive.

Women from Cebu are known for their beauty.

Although I am not one to judge others, Gomjabber, do you monger while actively seeking a GF/wife? The reason I ask is because I rarely meet gringos whenever I travel that do both. Either they are visiting their GF's/Fiancee or are going to LAm strictly to monger.

You are right that the hookers will tempt any man. They don't much care that you're with a girl. They don't see a GF, they see a challenge.

I don't always wear a condom either. If the girl insists, I do, otherwise not. I know some people are ultra careful about everything but I'm not. I also umpire the plate in baseball without shin guards, plate shoes (with steel toes) or a cup. [In over thirty years of umpiring, I've never been injured].

Some people protect themselves against everything and some don't. It's a personal preference, not a moral failing.
