Post

Yesterday, I posted a few comparisons of Latina and Filipina women and offered to send a few pictures of Divina if someone sent me their E-mail address. A few people mentioned I ought to do a trip report which I didn’t do at the end of March because this board didn’t focus on the Phils.

For those of you who haven’t been here since 1999, let me briefly define myself. Since 1999, I’ve made three trips to Colombia, over twenty to Costa Rica and lived in CR for seven months in 2003. I’ve also had two failed marriages to Latinas, one Caleña and one Tica.

By popular demand, here’s my Philippine experience.

I went to the Philippines to monger. I’m three years away from retirement and have no need for another serious relationship, a year of begging for a visa and being the ladies ticket to the US. Truthfully, even though it isn’t a major subject here, prostitution is legal almost everywhere in the world.

The first difference I noticed was the women were completely different in the way they treated men. When I mongered in CR or Colombia, the women would never treat you like a boyfriend unless you were paying a fortune to them. In the Phils, it never seemed like a transaction.

Our first stop was Angeles City, 2 ½ hours north of Manila. This is the mongering capital of the world. There are at least twenty major bars all loaded with women. The girl I hooked up with was so nice that I didn’t shop around the next night. We spent the three days I was there together all for a barfine of $24 a day. She got about $10 of that and seemed like girlfriend material. She had been living with an Australian man about my age and he ran out of money and had to go back to Australia.

When I arrived in Angeles (we went there directly from the Manila AP), my friend suggested we explore a side street for a quickie. We had a few drinks and I spent about an hour with the only cute girl in this dump. For a $12 short time bar fine (she got $5), she treated me great. When we went back to the bar, my friend was still buying everyone drinks and we sat for awhile. She was hugging me and saying how lucky she was. It seems ironic that I had paid the cost of a 5 minute lap dance in the US, had great sex with a beautiful woman and she felt she was the one who was lucky.

Roseanne and I went to a mall and the food court was to die from. Food in the Phils is so varied (unlike CR or Colombia). I could have eaten there every day for a moth without eating at the same place twice or repeating what I ate.

Next stop, Subic Bay and I had a blind date. My friend, who was on a second trip, had a friend there and she was going to fix me up. I considered this a major inconvenience since it figured to be the only day I didn’t get laid in the Phils. Divina was gorgeous but way too young for me (she’s 21 and I’m 58). During dinner her eyes sparkled and she was unexplicably captivated by everything I told her about myself.

Long story short, she ended up traveling with us. We flew to Iloilo (a total waste) and to Cebu (a great city) before returning to Manila. It would definitely be better to live in the Phils than in LA. The food is more varied (Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Australian and other influences), there are so many more places to visit and the people are fantastic.

The fact that almost everyone speaks passable English reflects well on their educational system. But the women are incredible. They know how to treat men like they are important. Most men on this board genuinely want to find a woman and make her happy forever but so many of us have run into Latinas who understand what they need completely but don’t spend much time thinking about what we need and want. Divina even told me that she doesn’t care if I go out once in a while to have sex with another woman because she wants me to be happy.

I’ll close with a line I recently heard in an old movie, “The King and I”. The teacher from England is talking to the king (Yul Brenner) about his harem. She said, “You know in English, we have a wonderful custom when men spend their life with just one woman and she makes them happy”. And the king replied, “I bet that custom was created by women”.

I’m off to the Phils again June 3rd for ten days with Divina. Besides getting to know her better, I’m going to tour parts of Luzon and look at possible places to begin my retirement. There are so many places to visit that I doubt if I decide where to live before I’ve spend six months there. You won’t have to wait three months for my trip report.

If anyone wants to see Divina's picture, send me a PM with your personal E-mail.

Great trip report Jim...I didn't realize that you were so close to boarding the plane!

Stay in touch, give us the rundown as you have the chance to do so, and have a great time!

Question

Do you guys really want a Philippines Forum? If we see a majority vote, then a new Forum will be created.

Good Evening Ray,

I suppose we could do a poll, however, I know of at least two of our brethren that are either there, or on the way there with some outstanding input and comparison. Looking through past posts, there seems to be a growing interest, and it is a viable alternative for some. I know the majority of us have an expressed interest in SAM and LAM countries, but I don't think that having a bit more information at our disposal would ever hurt. My vote would be "yes", but I'm the new guy around here, so I'll defer to my veteran Gringos...

Ray, I don't ever think you'll get a majority vote for the Philippines or any other country other than Colombia. There might be enough interest if our members who go there give up a trip report like Brother Jim has.

I sure like reading about it and have told Jim so. Most anything that generates useful posts is a good thing...

I'd vote yes.

ElC, polls can be fun but generally have gotten very little response.

Exactly...and we would've ended up with 4 votes either way by the end of the weekend, and maybe a hanging Chad or two. I don't think expanding our info horizon a little could hurt...as long as there's input to share.

Been to PH and it is a great place, and absolutely beautfiul beaches. More traditional country as many Filipnas are shy. In some instances they require an escort from the family. Espcially with ladies lving in the provinces versus the city.
And the bars for mongering was dscribed aptly above. i vote yes for a Philippine post. I have not been there in a decade but it is one of my favorite countries.

I forgot.
Not many agencies like in Colombia. They have laws that outlaw it. But a post could elaborate more.
And I feel relatively more safer there, although some barrios can be very dangerous. The beaches are the most beautiful in the world.
And teh country is CHEAP, food, hotels, transportation, and the bars.

Never been to the Phillipines. Been to Thailand 4 times. Enjoy reading about others travels there but don't know if it warrants a forum.
