Default Pinoy foreigner couples

Here is a link someone send me about a party (I believe in Angeles City). It's a photo album and will give you a good idea of how age makes virtually no difference in couples over there.

I will tell you that a difference between the Phils and Colombia is that lots of men choose to live there and there are a ton of happy relationships.

Jim

Nice Photos Jim,

Thanks for that. You can really see the age in the faces of some of the men, and the vitality of some of the women, quite a stark contrast don't you think?

I feel just a little bit like Charlie, those women have not really lit my fire but that is a generalization, I have seen some that send me off the deep end.

To each his own, that's what makes the world go round.

I would tell you that I believe Colobian women are slightly prettier overall than Filipinas and Colombiana have larger breasts by a wide margin.

I would say that overall more filipina women are sincere in wanting a long term permanent relationship and a man to take care of them that latinas are. I know that Divina lets me make almost all the improtant decisions. Even when we discuss where int he Philippines we want to live, she is willing to let me make tat decision. The only time she ever gets mad at me is when I don't treat service people (waiters, store clerks) with complete kindness. It upsets her whenever I get mad at anyone sinc ethat isn't a normal filipino trait.

Speaking of getting mad, I'm sure all of us have seen the fire of the latina temper. When Divina gets really pissed, she goes "Tampu" which is best describes as a silent pouting period or silence or speaking only in response to a direct question. Yopu don't have to duck when things or thrown or wait for the police to get there.

By the way, if any of you would like to see a picture of Divina, send me a PM. She looks latina but ten times sweeter.

Jim

Well.... I would think that she is deffering to you about major issues that involve $$$$ , like where you live, because it is YOUR $$$ not hers.
Whether you agree or not, money is power, and although you might be humble and nice, and not want to exercise this power.... it buys you a certain degree of unspoken respect in matters such as these.

Well, Charlie, in my relationships with my two ex Latinas, they seems to have a clear idea of how I should soend my money (on them). My relationship with Divina is still too new to understand if it will last or not.

Last lion...there are lots of motorcycles over there but I don't know enough to tell you which ones.

No, I haven't learned much Tagalog. I can count to ten, say I love you, say hi and nothing more. One factor is that depending on where we settle, Tagalog might not be the primary language. In Dumaguete they speak Ilongo or something and in Davao they speak Visayan. I'll learn something when I move there and decide what language would be most useful.

I'm leaving for the Phils on Xmas day. Divina's meeting me at the airport and we're flying to Dumaguete (on Negros) to see our friends Larry and Rony. I decided I wanted to meet Larry because he had two failed marriages to Philippinas. Since I have two failed Latina marriages, we had a lot in common. Unlike my case, where I didn't lose much money, Larry was less careful and got almost wiped out.

He had a few failed business ideas which took the rest of his cash and now he earns a living as the Pinoy's do, one day at a time. But he has a great relationship and Rony definately isn't with him for his money. He built a house for $600 (a nipa hut) and told me he could build me a house for $10,000.

I might pay him to be the general contractor if I decide to build a house there. He knows construction, US building standards and the intricacies of working with Philipine suppliers and workers. We saw some lots above Valencia which cost about $20,000 and have views of the islands of Cebu, Siquijor and Bohol. I'd be happy for life with a view like that so it's one idea I'm considering.

After three dyas, we'll go to Cebu and spend New Years there. I've got 1 1/2 years until I retire. I enjoy teaching and I love refereeing but I'm ready to begin the next phase of my life, the age of endless exploration.
