Mitch is my current GF for five plus weeks. We're going to Manila for a few activities this weekend and I'll post an update, with pictures, next week.

I am actually 10 pounds lighter than my arrival seven months ago and that is a healthier weight for me to maintain. I would say that the food is healthier here and I avoid the stuff which they overdo (no rice, pancit, which is like ramen, soy sauce, salt). I eat either tuna or marlin which can't be more than a few days from swimming in the sea, chicken, vegetables and fresh fruit. Mangos, grapes and bananas are fresh and sweet. There are no unique fruits here which I like unlike Costa Rica with cas and guanabana.

I also have only two daily activities which I always do. I jog 3 miles and I study Tagalog an hour.

That's what I thought, I took a little sabbatical just after you arrived there, and exited at Jessa.

Sounds to me as if you're having a great time in your "retirement", Jim.

How's the Tagalog coming along?
