Honky Tonk

Makes no difference to me,.. it's your Guys web site. I made my point! You sent me an email and invited me to post. Then I find a couple of guys Flaming the members of the PI forum with the Moderators doing nothing about it.

Where were you when Lastlion and Austin were being “so Civil” to the guys on the PI forum?

NOTICE I HAVEN’T SAID ANYTHING ABOUT ME,…IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE TO ME,… OTHER THAN IT IS WRONG FOR AUSTIN AND LASTLION TO INVADE A FORUM OF INTEREST TO OTHERS,… AND BERATE FLAME AND PUT THEM DOWM WITH IMPUNITY. WITH NO IMPUT FROM THE MODERATORS.

I THINK I MADE MY POINT THERE.

One way to address an issue when the moderators do nothing is to be over the top. Moderators,…when Austin attacked Jim where were you? Is the PI forum a “stupid ass forum” or a “HOMO forum” as Austin has described? Now that is a REAL CIVIL description.

Honky Tonk a question for you,…is the above a correct description of the PI forum?

Honky Tonk do Austin and Lastlion want the PI forum off the GRINGOS site? If they do want the PI forum off the site,… is it GRINGOS policy to have them attack Jim and others and by these attacks shut down the PI forum? Please explain this.

I hope some one finally gets my point. As my disclaimer said I really don’t intend to offend anyone, it’s all in fun to me…but when the Moderators sand by and allow Austin and others to flame people then good Men say something about it. Maybe Honky Tonk and Austin are buddies and Honky Tonk doesn’t want to say any thing about or to his buddy.

Do what you want to me! But please don’t insult the Guys on the PI forum just for being interested in the PI and having a forum on GRINGOS. Try to have a HONEST, CIVIL, INTILECTUAL discussion.

It may be in the future to have a separate web site for the PI,…why not help these Guys out instead of putting them down with a smear campaign and trying to drive them off with insults.

After 22 years in the US Military I have seen a lot of crap though out the World. We in the U.S. have tremendous freedoms and a tremendous country with opportunities. Why do you think all these people are trying to come to the US?

In closing I would suggest why not have a little more respect for fellow GRINGOS members.

I wouldn’t want to belong to any club that would have me as a member.

No Man, I am not banning myself, that’s Humor.

A quote from an old comedian Groucho Marks. It signifies that I don't take myself to seriously and I can laugh at myself.

Me personally, I like a guy who says what he thinks, bares his soul and does so without to much concern for what others think. I even think I know of someone like that. Someone very close to me. Huuummmm? Who could I be referring to??? Who regularly bears his soul here and says what he thinks only to get hammered for his postings???

Falcon, I do admire your candor, others wont you can count on that. As far as you opinions and conclusions (if there are any to consider), I have not read enough of your thoughts to say one way or the other if I agree with you on anything yet, but I like the fact that you're willing to say what you think.

Welcome to "The Board"....

Encino, if I'm not mistaken, the plane Falcon's flying around in is an A-4 Skyhawk, built by McDonnell-Douglas...first went into service with the Navy in 1954, and later with the USMC. It was finally retired from U.S. service around 1998 (the Marines were the last U.S. service to fly them), but is still used by some foreign Air Forces around the world such as Argentina, Brazil, New Zealand, Australia, and Singapore. (The A-4 in his avatar looks like it sports Argentine colors).

Subsonic, fully aerobatic, close in support capable, and originally designed as a carrier based attack aircraft.

FAC's loved to see this plane coming in because of it's maneuverability...so that explains a bit about the guy who wore the scarlet beret at one time...

Falcon, from what I understand you are a new member with 17 posts. I most certainly appreciate and respect your opinions but please post constructive topics that pertain to the theme of GringoTalk. Personal opinions are fine however personal attacks are not. The Philippines Forum was derived from popular opinion or a vote if you will was conducted offline and Jim is a six year Hall of Famer. Bottom line, the Phillipines Forum will continue to be here until postings in that Forum comes to a dead stop, and if that happens, a decision will be made at that time to keep or merge it with another Forum.

Falcon, I locked that thread when it became obvious it couldn't be steered back onto your original post. I did my best. It wasn't aimed at you or anyone else in particular. It just kept going further downhill and wasn't about to recover.

I've never played favorites on this Board. There's been some flames here and there, but we're all men who can take it as well as give it. When it goes too far, I put an end to it. Most of our members move on...most

One thing that makes GringoTalk unique is the lack of flaming compared to other somewhat similar boards. I intend to keep it that way. A little firefight here and there keeps this Board alive. When it goes too far, it's stopped.

Let's look at the facts when it comes to contributing to this Board:

Austin: 754 posts
LastLion: 853 posts
Falcon: 17 posts

Of your 17 posts, more or less 50% have been negative. I'm cool with that because I think you said some things that needed to be said. I like a man who speaks his mind come hell or high water.

Instead of saying you'll slam members with napalm, why don't you concentrate on upping your positive contributions to the Board above the 50% +- you now have? I think we can all benefit from your positive insite.

From here on out, we can all expect positive contributions from you above your 50% rate...right?

95%+ seems about par.
