One thing that is so true when you live in country is that the woman has to lvie up to her obligations. There are a plethora of women out there whose lives we can improve immeasurably. We certainly need to make our first requirement that they also improve our lives.

Life is indeed too short. There is no need to make problems all the time and a man is foolish if he accepts that. A nice aspect of 18 [which compensates for the occasional lack of maturity] is that young women have virtually no baggage.

I think in either Colombia or the Phils, it is a little hard for a forty year old to trust men based on her life's experiences.

I have been in the states for a week. Just one week and I have seen more pale, overweight, overbearing women than I would have thought possible. The difficult attitudes which seem the norm here are so difficult when you know there is a different world. A world I will return to tomorrow and not a moment too soon. Colombian women, like ALL women (and even some men) have their problems but compared with the soccer mom package that is standard here, bring it on Latina. Ya voy.

All this is pretty interesting guys, but me wonder about what you wrote Dennis..what are these reasons that a 40 years old woman is not married yet? what do you think are the issues? I am not only talking about the basics issues we may encounter such as jealousy, overpossessive, control freak, money hunger, yada yada yada...

That is a pretty scary tale. And you didn't mention the young pretty women who are not the least bit interested in us. I'll try to remember this picture you painted the next time something here psses me off. It could be worse. I could be back in the US.

Jim-young, pretty women not interested in us? How about a woman MY age? They all want the younger guys. I am just so grateful I have discovered that there IS life after Des Moines. (and baby, it is soooo much better down here.) Moving to the second world renewed my lease on life by at least 15 years. (even got the Sanity Claus changed.) (ahhh, you can't fool me, there IS no sanity clause.
