Default Six week update

Well, here’s my six week update on my relationship with Mitch. The first two weeks, every bit of her immaturity was present and it was a difficult period. She found it boring to stay at home and watch TV and wanted to go to Sand Castle, where she had worked, to dance and drink. When we disagreed on something she went Tampu, a uniquely Filipina fit of anger where she withdraws and won’t discuss anything. She wouldn’t do simple things I asked her and her basic philosophy was she thought we had couldn’t break up except by mutual agreement. So she was forced to move out for a few days.

As she asked me to come back (via text messages) I realized these were mostly maturity issues and I decided she was worth another chance. When she returned, she was completely changed. She hasn’t argued about anything for over three weeks. She just treats me with love, does everything I ask her and really takes care of me. She’s a beautiful lady and seems to always be smiling and happy. I think the advantage of her age is that she is willing to change and could change easily.

There are a lot of 18-y-o things with Mitch. She has done absolutely nothing in her life besides live in Butuan, Mindinao with her family [primitive provincial living] and work at Sand Castle. She had never even been to a mall. I need to teach her everything about nutrition but the good thing is that she’s anxious to learn new things and try and keep me healthy. It’s fun to go to Manila with her and stay at a nice hotel, go to a nice club because everything is new for her and she enjoys everything we do.

We’ll go to Mindinao in February to pick up her daughter. I realize that having her daughter here makes this family dynamic more complicated and I wanted to get the Mitch-Jim aspect of our family on more solid ground before we got Jessamae.

About all I know for certain is she’s a delightful person and she understands my financial position. Hopefully things will work out but six weeks is still very early in a relationship. The girl in the black top is Graqce, Mitch's 16-y-o sister who will be the nanny for Jessamae ($75 per month). The blue top is her friend.
