Question Thinking about Italy...

Anyone here scoped out Italy? I have always considered Italian women the best (I am half Italian so I am biased). I have never traveled there, but I wouldn't be surprised if I would be blown away by the Italian women. In particular, I am interested in Sicily Italy. I once had a few ties restitched and the woman working there was Scicilian, and she was stunning! I could barely breath normal while in the store when she was there. This particular forum is named Other Cities, so no one ever said it had to be Other Colombian Cities, right?

SJI,

You could try Buenos Aires, Argentina. Many women there are of Italian descent - and they are truly stunning. Plus, the accent of Argentine women is by far the sexiest in Latin America.

There are Italian restaurants and Italian ice cream parlors everywhere you go in Buenos Aires. (I'm referring to GOOD Italian restaurants, not the slop they dish out at Diego's in Cali.)

Jeff

PS - Did you get my email finally?

SJI,

An amigo of mine is Italian and he lives in Italy and New York. He travels a lot to Brazil, the DR and Colombia. He tells me the Italian women(living in Italy) are worse than gringas. He tells me the women in Latin America are far better than Italianas in attitude, beauty and personality.

Question

Ray's friend may be correct. Two major countries - Italy & Spain - actually have DECLINING populations. That's right, negative population "growth" in Italy & Spain.

I'm not sure what is going on exactly in those two countries. I've never been to either of them. The beaches & discos of Cuba are littered with guys from Italy & Spain. The Italian guys seemed alright, but the Spanish were assholes most of the time.

I'm not buying that stuff from Ray's friend, though, about Italian women not being beautiful. Sounds like sour grapes.

Thumbs up

When I was in the Army, I was stationed in Germany for two years. While I was there, I took a five day vacation to Italy. I spent most of my time in Florence and Pisa, and took a one day trip to Rome.

I can't say anything about the attitudes of the women of Italy. My conversations with them consisted of small talk, do you want to dance, etc.

But I will say that the women of Italy were very beautiful.

Thumbs down

I have spent a week in Rome several weeks ago. In my opinion the woman of Rome in general are not nearly as nice looking as in Cali or Bogota, (the only two cities in S. Amer. I have visited). In fact I was very disappointed. Yes there are some stunning lookers, but on the average, They are much worse looking!!! Just my Opinion!!!

I have been to both Rome and Milan and have found the women to be beautiful. The women there are very fashion conscious and cosmopolitan which may explain why some feel they're standoffish. You can get all types there blondes, brunettes, dark skin, light skin etc...But overall I prefer Women fo LA.

The women in Buenos Aires - whether of Italian descent or not - are also very fashion conscious & cosmopolitan. However, I didn't find them arrogant or standoffish whatsoever. I think that the Gringos who perpetuate this stereotype (mainly on LWL) are weenies that are too insecure to even approach the women, so they just reach whatever conclusion makes them feel "safe." I think women in Buenos Aires are very nice - at least as nice as Colombia. Of course, I actually TALKED to the women for 3 months. Some Gringos (especially on LWL) seem to have a severe fear of rejection.

I have heard from sources that Scilian women are amazing, and I have met one that blew me away here in that states. I would say she was in her 40's but stunning. How about Palermo, any one ever go there, it's in Scicily. My grandfather is from Palermo. I can't imagine the women from Italy being as bad as the women from USA in our money-hungry society. It does sound like a disgruntled individual that got burned. I personally look for Colombian women that resemble the Italian women. Perhaps no one here has spent enough time to answer this question. In any case I should just book a flight to Palermo and see for myself. I hope Italy has not modernized to the point the women are pretentious and super finicky like here. Italy has culture and has roots, history. Here in the USA, we have a melting pot, money, and opportunity, but we don't have the pleasant culture like you see in Colombia, or perhaps Italy. This is one thing I dislike so much here in the USA. I fall in love with the warmth of Colombia.
Even if I am not successful when I have visited Colombia, I will always remember how the Colombians know how to live. I actually envy the men my age that live in Colombia and are able to enjoy the people, and have plenty of time to really get to know the women in the area. Of course I am sure there is the stress of the economic situation and fear of violence such as car bombs and "special" taxes, if you get my drift.
