Default Barbosa

Barbosa - approx 40 km north. Not a place to go unless your sister and brother live there. When I asked my brother, Otto, why there were more than the usual number of casas fixed up (I am not talking palace here, stuco and paint, instead of just the exposed brick) his answer "coca". Yes, that's where I want to hang. A good thing though, we went one a walk a little out of town, came across a field and stream with people camped out and kids swimming. When I asked about this, I was told that 8/10 years this would not happen because of the Para's and FARC. It is good to see people be able to use THEIR countryside.

I agree with you Micky. I've been told when drug cartels move into an area the farmers or landowners become virtual slaves of the narco-terrorists.

They grow what they are told to grow, and are paid whatever the narcos decide, or they're killed. So they are just another of the many victims of the trade.
