I think where I got stuck was near the pueblito Irra, I was told that was a funky area. It is extremely nice for people to stop for you, we would almost expect it here at least outside the city limits, but there it is a feat of courage....

JW, not sure about nicaragua, but in COLOMBIA, you have to where this big old license plate type vest... It is a law due to all the scicsarios ( hit men on bikes) , so they take the **** seriously... I am sure I dont know the motorcycle laws there, and based on the reactions by the Coppers, I was missing something, they just preferred to kick me down the road, probably mostly casue they realized I was just a gringo on a bike, and nothing dangerous...

The funny thing was when I went back to medellin, certain areas were lettting all bikes thru, but had decided it was time to pull over every car going up to parke gringo and into certain areas, now that creeates a real traffic problem.... hahahaha

LL, it all sounds like the Ultimate Adventure! I don't believe I'll be topping your moto trip anytime soon. I sure would like to hear more if you're up to writin' it... How 'bout it?

Here are some shots on the road from armenia to periera to medellin

There are actually some amzing bridges as you criss cross the rio cauca many times. The coolest is on a hillside to manizales apparently famous for its design although I have none. The little pueblo of about 200 is like many that I passed on the trip..

This is similar to the one I saw when I ran into the punk ass kids at the tienda, small houses built on the side ready to collapse into the river on a big el nino year

Cool ass tunnel between med and man. Yes it is just a hole in a big rock, no concrete tunnel but it was cool, cold an damp inside on my bike

VIews from Caldas a little town up above medellin

I know they are not loaded with t n a and may bore some of you, but when I travel I love these basic foto types, just to get a feel for the lay of the land, plus I dont need fotos of ass I dont really have a problem remembering that
