I just returned from Bogota, and I must say I would recommend Hotel Charlie's Place, if you want to stay in the Northend of town.

UniCentro, Andino, Santa Barbara malls are all 10-15 minutes from the hotel.

So is Zona Rosa, and Park93, where all the restaurants, and discos are.

The layout was greatly improved from the re-modeling a year ago.
My room and bathroom was spotless, plus you get the internet computers, and you get the women to going in and out of the telephone and bar area.
Plus there was always someone there to bail you out of a problem, Charlie was always there, and he speaks English, but more important he knows why we are in Bogota, THE WOMEN !!

That's a given fact! I have stayed there twice, the first time for 27 days, and remember when I got hungry in the middle of the night; Charlie helped me to get something to eat, and it made for a memorable night.

Speaking of eating, there are places to eat that are close by. Cafe y Crepes is in the same neighborhood, and the food and drink are very reasonably priced.

Furthermore, the neighborhood is a very nice microcosm. There is a small Catholic church on the same street as the hotel, as well as a flower shop. On the main drag (where the steam train runs--yes, there is one!), there is also a pharmacy, dry cleaners and a Pomona supermercardo, as well as a smaller market kitty corner from the hotel.

Parties at the hotel are just as good. I ushered in 2002 at the hotel, and had a great time. I am intending to visit there again around the Fourth of July (Nelson, are you reading this?) SO … if you are going to Bogotá, that is the place to go. You will get very personalized service, and have a great time.
