Smile Looking for apartment/hotel in Bogota in May and June

Hi:

I'm looking for an apartment or hotel in Bogota from mid May to end of June, about 6 weeks. I know about Bogota Bob's Colombian Services and I think he offers value, but if possible, i want to come in cheaper, still clean, but cheaper. I would like to be in at 50-60,000 pesos a day, breakfast included if I can get it.

Does anyone know decent, clean and cheap hotels in El centro? I don't mind spending 25 or 30,000 pesos in cabs a day if I can get the lodging price I want I heard about a place called Hotel/cafe Americano, does anyone know it or have any other ideas.

I think that am going to spend most of my time in North Bogota.

Thank you!

I don't know if this is what you are looking for but check out: Hotel Lourdes. It is located in Chapinero area and the address is Calle 63 No. 15-61. Tel is 2-55-36-13 or 3-45-43-01 and website is www.hotellourdes.com

I stayed there and I think they charged me $27/28 a night. It was clean, the showers had hot water, there is a restaurant in the hotel, and the staff was very friendly. I would highly recommend it. I am not sure how far it is from the airport but it cost me 19K pesos each way.

No problem. I forgot to mention that breakfast is not included but one block up the street (leave the hotel and turn right, walk past the transmileno bus stop), there are two good places to eat with scrambled eggs, toast, etc. I never ate at the hotel restaurant but the menu looked decent.
