Default One Day in Bogota

More like one night. I was flying through to Santa Marta and spent the night at Charlies Place. I hadn't been in two years and i sure as hell didn't want to fly out the next day. Had a great time with Nelson and crew, Claudia was celebrating her birthday so there was lots of drinking going on.

Can't wait to go back, just hope its not another two years before I do!

JT3,

How would this be:

When in doubt....get on the dang plane!

Do you know if Claudia is still seeing anyone? I have always had a crush on her.

One day! Thats funny! It's reminds me of the person standing under the Niagra Falls with a cup trying to catch a glass of water :-))

There is really much to see in Bogota. I spent the whole month of May this year 2010 in Bogota. Yes the Salt Cathedral requires at least 3/4 of a full day and I started from my hotel in the Northern part of Bogota. Just getting through the traffic could be a job and experience in itself not to mention it could easily eat up 1/4 of your day jumping from one end of the city to the other.

Given your little time I would do Monserate and a walking tour of La Candelaria with perhaps a quick visit to the gold museum as it is in that area. Jump into a taxi and head over to Parque 93 and find a nice restaurant in that area or Zona Rosa.

Buzzzzzz, your day is over!

Have fun and bring an umbrella if your visit will be in the near future.
