Sorry I couldn't answer your last e-mail, but as I explained I was in the U.S. making preparations to sell out and move back, my main computer is packed and ready to go.
As I mentioned last month, I sold the business. (thanks for keeping it under your hat until the transition was complete)
This time the guys not a dead beat, I was paid in cash this time, and he's not on a pussy hunt, he already has some. The new guy took over March 1st.
I came down here in 1996 for business so now it's time to go home, I'll be leaving on the 18th.
It's been a real pleasure meeting some of the guys here on Gringos, this is about the only forum I ever considered worth a ****. (Colombian Blog is OK too) I have no idea what so ever what I will be doing, but I still own a bunch of Colombia related domains so I'll be looking for something to do to stay busy, but doing a whole lot nothing for a while seems like a good idea.
Soon as I get settled I'll be dropping by to say hello.
I am very happy for you!!!!!!!! Sounds like things are going well, and you found a good buyer for your business. Thanks for all the wisdom you shared here. I glad you will keep helping us here in the future.
Hey bob, congrats man! You deserve it! Enjoy the states and keep us posted on how things are goin! Send me a PM when you can I would really like to keep in touch with you!
I had no idea you were moving back Stateside. Whatever your reasons, we respect it. However, if you could give us a summary of why you made the move and your 10 years of living in Colombia; I'd like to 'hear' your thoughts about your experiences there. Obesity and work ethics in the US seem to be at an all-time low, and I don't know why. Maybe the economy or current administration. Good jobs, making money, fair/honest (mostly compared to LA and Brazil) society, fair/honorable Police/Government/Judicial sectors for the most part are fair and not corrupt. On the flip side, the fun factor, food, juice and obviously the ladies are found in South America. I think the best of both worlds is having flexibility of two homes in both places, and travel back and forth.
Bob, 10 years living/working in Colombia makes you a higly credible source of information. At any rate, it's good to see you back.

Bogotá Bob! Sad to hear you are going! I know we have talked about this for a while and I have seen the writing on the wall even when you were not talking about making a move. However reading about you packing up for the USA on GT makes it seem more final!
Thanks for not jacking us Gringos around like many others do. No nickel and dime bull****, no false promises and the list goes on!
I hope the new guy carries on in your tradition... big shoes to fill but never the less a very simple formulae.
Can you introduce the new owner? I hope everyone will support him.
Thanks again Bob for all your help and being a good friend over the years... you gave us all something a Colombian owner could not give. Happy Trails Dude!
