Telephoning Bogota

I've tried calling a number in Bogota using two different telephone companies but the line quality is so bad that most of the time the calls do not even go through. When they do go through, I have not yet actually managed to hold even the briefest of conversations.

Can anyone recommend a telephone company or calling card in the U.S. with at least a good chance that the call will go through to Colombia/Bogota and that a conversation can be held?

There is a service that allows you to make a call to Colombia without changing your regular long distance carrier and the lines availible have always worked well for me @ only 19 cents per minute. They bill you on your regular telephone bill, no monthly charge,no sign up fee, no connection fee, no wait times to get a line and No minimum charge. Although it's only available in l4 states the last time I checked.

You first dial 1016868 then the number for example to Bogota 011.57.1.xxxxxxxx

I never experience the problems of getting through as you have posted.
Most of the time my calls to Bogota are as normal as America.
