Yes, La Fragata is good....I can recommend it too....but Tonk is right, they are a bit snooty. My other recommendation is Tramonti. It's on the east side of Bogota (if I remember my directions right) and is up in the hills....which makes the view at night outstanding. A nice place for a candlelight dinner. If I recall, some were not happy with the food, but I went twice, once around when I got engaged (although we actually went to LaFragata for dessert on the actual night we got engaged), and then for the "rehearsal dinner" for the immediate families. The food was good and the prices were reasonable the times I went....and the service was good as well.

No way brother, Dora does not play those games. They don't know our valentines day, I'm not telling em'. Besides if Dora did want something and I could get it for her I would. And she knows that. But lucky for me, she is a happy women with us just having a family life. As a matter of fact the whole family is pretty happy.
Bat, I rent a moto on my trips to the Amazon River/jungle. They're hardly choppers though. Some look like US sport bikes but they're metric and small displacement. No matter to me as it's still 2 wheel fun and, for me anyway, the best way to experience this absolutely beautiful part of LAm.
I've done that trip 2x with a different amiga, one from Peru and one from Bogota. I've taken many pics during these trips so all pics I've taken myself. I've also done it in Leticia Colombia which is attached to Tabatinga Brasil, and in Tarapoto Peru.
I don't care for big cities so these out of the way places suit me much better than a week in Bogota, Lima or whereever. That road from Iquitos to Nauta in Peru is my favorite. I have many gorgeous pics of that road and some of the best times in my life have been there.
Staying on topic...I'd even do it on Valentine's Day, whether theirs or ours
