Casinos!!

I've been to all the casinos here! I prefer
the one in Buenavista and the one in The Dann Carolton Hotel. I've been going to those since I've been here and the people there have grown on me. Rio is probably my 3rd choice. The one down the street from Rio is ok and there's one around the corner from buenavista on cra. 53b it's ok too! The first two I like because they have the highest table limits of the rest "500,000 pesos" I can't speak of poker seeing that I ONLY play blacjack! I do recall several friends of mine entering poker tournies at Rio. The casinos here seem to be on the up-and-up! Have not had ANY problems with the staff at any of them. My first time going to buenavista I lost 3 grand $ U.S.! Small price to pay for what was instore for them ! Got familiar with their silly rules i.g. you can only split aces once, you can double down on your split aces, but if you take insurance, it only covers the orignal bet and not the double downI remember the pit boss telling me "Sorry for your loss" I told him I didn't lose and that in a week I will be back to collect my money plus intrest! He laughed and I left.

Well, sure enough 1 week later, after figuring out what I needed to do, I was back with my gameface on. I kindly asked the manager if he could raise the max bet. He raised it to 500,000 a hand... it was at 200,000. Also, if you're playing alone, you have to play a minimum of two hands. Well, well, well now the ball is in my court! I played for a few hours waiting for what I call "the sweet spot!" a point a when the cards are in your favor. When it came I was ready! Boooom Shakalaka! Now that I have the sweet spot, I'm waiting to get in the "Zone" This is where my 12 years of experience kicks in and that I'm pretty sure I know what the next card is!.

Got it! The money is rollin' in! After maybe another couple of hours, I have my 3 g's and 3 more of theirs! I walk away, but not without telling the pit boss, "I told you so!" This went on for months! I was constantly winning! Until, one night I cashed out 5 g's and went back to my hotel at maybe 2 a.m. at 3 a.m. I get a call from the front dest telling me that the casino manager is waiting for me in the lobby. I damn near sh!@ myself. Crazy thoughts going through my head...mafia, druglords. I asked receiption was hotel segurity there....yes...ok, I'll be right down! Well, it turns out the cashier had overpaid me by 500 dollars. He said legally I could keep the money, but she would lose her job! I told him lets take of this tomorrow and that I wanted to watch the surviellance tape, he agreed!

The next day, I went to the casino. His boss is telling me I can't go into the surviellance room to view the tape. Well, I guess you guys won't be getting this money back! I didn't want the girl to lose her job either! Ok, make a copy of the tape and take me somewhere I can view it. I watched and surely she overpaid me! I gave the money back and the girl gave me her number! I never called..not big on "sympathy sex" Anways, the big boss pulls me to the side and ask, "What are you doing?" "We don't see people come in here and win as consistantly as you." she says, "See that guy over there, He's our advisor and everytime you leave we review your play on the cameras." "Your're not counting cards, as far as we can tell you're not cheating" "I'm not!" I said.....Ok, I will tell you what I'm doing if you give me a copy of the
tape! "I can't!", she said. Well, I can't tell you. Ok! I told her I would be back in couple of hours to take another 2 g's or the video..."I can't give you a copy of the video!", she said. Sure enough, I was back in 2 hours and took 2,500 and told her, " When you decide to give me a copy, here's my number we can talk about it over dinner"....she was HOT! She never called! Well, now I'm getting ready to leave B'quilla to work in another city far away! My hotel safe is literally pack with money...had to open a local bank account...that's another story!

A couple of days before I had to leave, my girl was with me in the hotel. I looked at her and asked if she had ever heard of "Bonny & Clyde?" yep! Well tonight lets go for one last ride! She asked, "Why, you have plenty of money!" It's not about the money...In 12 years of playing this game, it started out being about the money, but I love the challenge, I love how they
try little things to beat you i.g. "killer dealers" or changing dealer before their deal time is up! I guess baby I just LOVE THIS GAME! She expressed that her concern was for my safety and that I WAS NOT playing in the States! I understood. We walked across the street and entered the casino. When I arrived and saw that "my little sweet-heart dealer" was at the table. I was happy. I sat down and they dismissed her and brought out "El Oso" "The Bear" I gave him that name because that's what he looked like...a frickin' bear..never laughed...never joked...always looked pissed!:mad: My heart sanked! I and my girl knew that he was always the hardest to beat! He was known for shattering great hands!

With a grand on the table and two damn near perfect hands, "20's" he would always pull a 21! Many a time he has done this with me. My girl says nothing and I down 5 shots of vodka quickly to kill any remaining butterflys in my stomach! We go at it for the first 4 hours back and forth! Then, he starts poundin' me! 1 grand gone...then 3 then 5 g's. Wow! Damn near a K.O. My girl doesn't have the heart to tell me how she feels. All she can do is lower her head in disbelief! I understood, because I had just lost an average colombian's year and a half salary! Bonny, go to the room an get another 5 g's! Poor girl thought I was crazy! Ok Oso, you won the first 6 rounds, but we have 6 more to go. "Why don't you go home....this is my house!", he says.

"Well, your house was built on loosers not winners and I'm not a looser!", I tell him! "Esta noche, tu culo es mio" " A crude form of saying "Tonight, your ass is mine!" I tell him! I tell my girl to go play the slots or something because I want to be at this table alone! We go at it once again! For God's sake, this guy didn't even take his break! A trick used by American cansinos when a player is loosing with a certain dealer! A few hours later, I had WON! 20,500 U.S. greenbacks! I had beaten the Bear! All the casino manager could say, "You are the first person to take that kinda money out of here!" "Never in my 10 years have I seen someone win that kind of money!" he said. My girl is freeking out because people have stopped playing other games and gathered to watch. Baby let's go, she tells me! Yeah, let's go! I paid two sercurity guards $100 each to walk me accross the street to my hotel! Turns out later, a guy WAS waiting to jack me, but sercurity handled that.....I didn't set foot back in B'quilla for 9 months! I went to Medellin for a week of vacation later. I went to Rio casino and when they ran my passport # "Ahhhh you're that guy from B'quilla!" "What guy?", I said. "The guy who won the most money ever in B'quilla!", they said. "Nope!" not me...."But you passport # matches!".....Nope! I'm not him....then a familiar face approaches me....."hola, senor ?" Sh#$!, cover blown! "Welcome!" "Are you going to play?"....nope just checking out the place......it was an old manager from B'quilla......."Well, nice to see ya again!", he says. You too! later....It's a very small world we live in, huh? Have I ever lost, Sure! But not more than I've won......I ask you! Have you ever made love on 20 grand....Wow! What an orgasim!!!!!!!

If its texas hold'em and if they do tournements or if they have stakes (1$/2$) blinds.

Great story, but why did they run your passsport in MDE?, normally you just enter, I have never seen them run anyone's passport.

The Dann Carlton casino is so small , and always empty. I felt awkward being the only one there in the whole place.

In Buena Vista casino you probably saw there is always one girl around 27 who plays in teh BAQ casino everyday all day. Also maybe you saw this Colombian guy about 50 who wears this Panama straw hat, smokes, I do not like that guy. Both always seem to be in the casinos.

I think I may go to casinos this weekend, hadn't been in months! Also, I will get some poker info for the people that want it. About the passport, I never use the ATMs because you can only get 300,000 at a time. I use the credit machine in the cashier's booth. There I can take out whatever I want, but you have to show your passport!
Hey! I think I know that girl your speaking of! She looks about 27 and everytime I went to the casino she was there. She was always with this Chinaman! This guy was a piece of work! He spoke no spanish no english and was always losing his a@@ off! Nice guy, but broke every basic rule of black jack and blackjack broke him After re-reading my pose, I've become somewhat inspired again! I used to be a professional blackjack player! I lived for 2 years playing blackjack! 1 year I lived in the casinos' hotels. After 2 years of everyday in the casinos, I got burned out and went back to work! Few of best stories:
(1) Taking 30 dollars and turning it into 24 grand in 48 hours (constantly playing without sleep)
(2) Taking 700 dollars and turning it into 30 grand in 72 hours (no sleep)
(3) Losing 2 grand at blackjack and I didn't bring my atm cards! I had 5 dollars left. I put it in the 25 cent slot won 2 grand. I went back to the blackjack table and walked away with 8 grand!
Worst stories:
(1) Befriending 2 casino buddies and loaning them 10 grand in my early years, never seen them or that money again!
(2) Losing 15 grand in 3 hrs. That was over 5 years ago and It still hurts..lol
(3) After 3 nights of playing in a casino in South Korea, I had won 9 grand! Well, the next night, I began to play and everytime I began to win. They would take all 6 decks of cards and throw them in the trash. If I was losing, they would continue using the decks! A##holes!! lol

You and I are heading to Vegas. Ill pay for the entire trip. You must have the luck of the Irish! $700 to 30K is a pretty good return. Much better than what my money in the stock market is doing right now!

That must have been her, about 27, straight brown hair, not very latin looking. She appears goes back and forth between Buena Vista and Rio.
I also remember a skinny Asian guy , about 50, smokes also, he would always go up progressively for three bets, then back to normal base bet.

If your that big of a gambler, usually you can stay in any of the big hotels for free ! Atleast that was the deal for my uncle.

That's what I did while gambling in the States! Casinos here in Colombia don't offer that type of comp service. The only thing they offer
here is a "Bono" which is a certificate of whatever value they decide it is. I remember one day walking to the mall from the hotel and seeing the casino
manager. He tells me they have a "Bono" for 500,000 pesos waiting for me!
I go bye to get it. Well, they don't change it out for cash. They give you
casino chips, because they want you to play. I could have easily cashed in
the chips for pesos, but I wanted to screw around with them. In 15 mins. I
had won 1500 dollars plus the bono and I walked out. I never got another "bono" since...lol! I wonder why
