Ok, First a little about me! A 33 year old SBM with a college and military background. At the beginning 2005, who would of thought I will be presented with a opportunity of a lifetime! I received a call one day with a man saying, “We can use a person of your background in Colombia. “Colombia?” I knew nothing of Colombia except what will all know! Here I was heading for Barranquilla with a pleasant dream of meeting that angel that for some reason heaven had lost. Well, that dream would shortly turn into a nightmare. Anything that I post is only “MY OPINION” from “MY OWN EXPERIENCES” It is not my intention to offend anyone. I have some much to say so, I will post different threads based on different topics. Grab your popcorn get ready for E’s “True Barranquilla Story” I understand that with the work schedule of most of you, you’re unable to spend all year in Colombia. So, you come down when you can. A week or two here and there. I’ve fortunate enough to have lived here for the past three years and have learned so much about Colombia that I’m very happy to share with you guys. Hopefully, I can help someone not go through some of the many bad experiences I’ve had here. I had no wingman to take me under the arm and guide me! Everything I learned was on my own. I spoke no Spanish upon coming here. Now, I can communicate in any part of Colombia. I have a few guy friends here but mostly I know a lot of women who also give me insight into Colombia. I value and trust there opinions because we’ve been friends for years now. So, anything I post would be a mixture of theirs and my own experiences. Now, Let’s get to posting!
FWM, you come to GT highly recommended by a member I think very highly of...LatinaDreaming. There's no need to write any disclaimers when it comes to your take on it all. I don't appoligize for calling it as I see it even if it's not how others see it.
Bottom line? Bring it on and rock that boat!!
PD: What's to be learned from a bunch of back slappin', Atta Boy "Yes" men?
