I am a workout fanatic and was wondering if there are any Gyms located in Cali worth checking out while I'm there? How about health food stores like/similar to GNC? I take many suplements, but don't think a plastic bag full of pills or my Whey protein powder would be a smart idea to carry on the plane.

I like Olympica Gym, just off the 5 and just south of the Inter.

I have seen actual GNC products in Cali. The new La14 on PasoAncho in south end, I think in the basement area.

About gyms Olympica is pretty good. Also, if you just need something simple and cheap, Club Muelle (Carrera 1 Norte #44-79) was good and let me work out on a daily card for CP 5.000/day.

If you're staying in the south, there's a 5-story super-modern gym near Pasoancho & Carrera 87. I forget the name but an taxi driver would know ...

PD/ Hey Bundy, you might ask the chica in your avatar where SHE works out. Her pecs are in pretty good shape.

Theres a cool little gym (name escapes me) that is a few miles north of Chippe Chappe.

Just tell the taxi driver "Conavi Sexta" which is a pay phone. The gym is on the same block , just walk down the street and you'll run right into it.

Kinda primitive but you'll get the job done. They also have an excellent juice bar up front.

Thanks for the info guys...I will be staying on Calle 38N and was told there was a gym off Sexta above Olympica Grocery (which I assume is Olympica Gym)....another gym off Sexta and Calle 36 (don't know the name). There is also a health food store in the mall (Chippe Chappe?) that sells supplements.

Mustang - Thanks for the compliment on my avatar, she's my spotter!

Bundy, try doing a search. Cali has boatloads of gyms. They are all pretty good.
