Exploring Cali

Hi

I stumbled across this website - a wealth of info - I feel like a sponge!

I am visiting Cali in August and was after any advice as to any safe, interesting areas to wonder around and explore.

The first of no doubt many questions - hope to pick all your brains!

And don´t be worried, Most of us are full of info that will be of use, what to do and WHAT NOT to do....

Actually there are some of us who live here so if you need any help, just ask. At least in my case, even if I don't know the answer, I will make it up. And even then.

thanks all for the welcome replys

I'm planning on visiting Colombia for 3 weeks, but spend most of my time in Cali. Plan to have some spanish lessons and improve my spanish. I know it's essential to get by down there.

Getting worried with the various other posts that I may end up with nothing much to do down there!

I'll be staying in Versalles. I guess for starters what are your recommendations, and as for nightlife, I've seen the advice to avoid avenida sexta, so where are the places to go
