Hola mis amigos of GingoTalk,
I'm returning to Cali again soon (June 8), and I'm going to stay about a month. This isn't a search mission, as I "think" I've already found a good one from my last trip. The main purpose of this trip is to try and spend more time with her to progress from "I think she could be the right one" to "I know she's the right one"...or at least realize that I need to start over in my search.

Anyway, she will most likely have to continue going to work during the day, so our time together will be limited to evenings and weekends. So, during the day I was hoping to spend a couple hours at the gym and maybe about 4-hours/day studying Spanish. Can anyone recommend a Spanish tutor and/or Spanish language school in Cali where I can have intense instruction for 4-hr/day for one month? I checked the listings in the Gringo's Guide, but I think that web address/email is now defunct. I know some Spanish already, but I am still far from being fluent. Also, can anyone recommend a gym in Cali for a one month membership? How much do you think each (language lessons & gym) will cost? Also, I was thinking of staying at the Hotel Aristi. Any other suggestions for a one month stay?

I'll be away and won't have access to this board until June 3, but I'll check back then. Any additional input is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hey doc, My friend Paola teaches Engish and is available, PM me if you want her number. You might have a look at the Pension Stein. Great rooms, coffee all day, high speed internet and breakfast in a quieter area than the centro make it a nice place. Best wishes. The 'one' is a great thing to confirm.

Hi,

Thanks for the info. I just inquired (email) about the cost for a one month stay at Pension Stein, so I'll see what they have to say. Also, it looks like I can get a 1-bedroom apartment at Caliplaza for a month for $900, so that sounds like a good option, too.

I didn't think that $900 for the month was too bad; that comes out to $30/day. Do you know of a better rate?

Yeah, I'll be in Cali until July 6.
