LL, This are some links, there are Traditionals Hotels close to the Beach, But in the "Old city" la ciudad amurallada, there are beautiful "Hoteles Boutique"

When I think of GREAT hotels in Cartagena, you have to mention the Santa Clara. The Cadillac. Elegance, safety, class....and $.

Hmmmm Santa Clara reminds me of the Monesterio in Cusco, Peru.
Same set up.... and a a bit more expensive too.

I am looking for a Hotel in Cart. too.

It is the beautiful place in South America. There are lots of hotels there. You can try Hotel Las Americas Global Res. It is also best honeymoon spot. I have heard much about it. It is surrounded by nature and calm beaches.It also has the best seafood in Cartagena.
