Question Weather in Cartagena?

hey guys,
i am taking a trip to cartagena in August. Everywhere i look on the internet about weather in cartagena during august says it is humid. I cant really understand heat indexes and dew points and blah blah blah. All i am wondering is does Cartagena have that miami humidity like you sweat in your underwear or is it just like slight humidity like I would barely notice it? just trying to find out what the weather will be like. For the most part i think i would be safe to safe if i bring shorts and shirts i will be just fine. And also some dress pants and dress shirts for going to nice places. I dont think i will need a jacket at all.

The Weather in Cartagena seems always very humid most times of the year. The summer in Latin America is November-March. In this moment it's extremely hot and muggy in all coastal areas from Mexico to Argentina and I would classify Cartagena's humidity as exactly or a bit more than South Florida in July -- very hot and muggy. The good news is if it gets to hot, walk a little to the right or left depending and jump in the ocean.

We advise baggies, white t-shirt and flip flops, and don't forget your Ray-bans.

Most importantly rent in the Old City. You'll pay a little more but it's worth it.

Have fun!

Most of Colombia is north of the equator so the seasons are the same. Even if it wasn't, that close to the equator is only about 5 +- degrees F different between summer and winter, at least in the Amazon it is. 5 degrees does make a difference though.

Either way enjoy the heat! The women don't actually dress in wool when it's hot

It has tropical wet and dry climate. The months of November to February tend to be more windy months. Many people are also choosing to live in Cartagena due to the excellent all-year round weather conditions. I really enjoyed the weather there.
