Thumbs up Medellin Information Site

I ran across this informational web site that I thought deserved to be shared on the forum. It is called Community Walk. They describe themselves as having "the ability to show photos, add comments, display interactive media, hide and show categories of locations, explore hundreds of fantastic maps of anything and everything, CommunityWalk is fast becoming the destination site for creating and exploring the most interesting maps on the Internet."

It looks like there are many cities featured. Here is the one featuring Medellin. Well worth bookmarking.

Good information Tinto, thanks! The map is great with a lot of useful features. It seems like the site could be huge once its established.

Hey Tinto, when do we get a new BABE photo?

Welcome back, Tinto. Where have you been, and are you going to tell us about it? Your trip reports are always informative.

Hey Mongo,

I agree, that site could be huge. It already provides a lot of useful information and it appears that viewers can add their own to it.

I've been a little busy lately so haven't updated the BABE link. Not to worry compadre as I'll include two lovelies to make up for my photo hiatus.

KT,

I've been biding my time in the States. I returned a few months ago as I normally do each year to keep up on things. I had a little bit of Colombia though entertaining a lovely Latina that came to visit me. I was thinking of writing about it but should probably pass on that idea as she saw the GT site one day when I answered a PM.

I'll be heading back south in the not too distant future and will have other stories to tell. Thanks for your kind words.

Default Peruvian Maca

Tinto;

Thanks for posting the website for the Peruvian Maca root in the Brazil section. I ordered some, and a friend from Seattle is going to bring it to Pattaya around the 17th. I was wondering if you can buy it in Medellin, or if you have to bring it with you.

Tinto, Thanks for the nice words about my Medellin Map Site. Presently, there are over 130 locations on the map with more added each day. Any suggestions or recommendation from GRINGOTALK members would be sincerely appreciated. For those members traveling to Medellin you can find more info on my other sites, Medellin Visitor Guide and Medellin Executive Hotel. Thanks again! (Since this is my first post guess I can't include my links).

KT,

I have never seen much in the way of specialty health products in Medellin. It is surprising in many ways especially since many of these products originate in South America. I would assume that you'd have to bring in your own maca unless you have a source in Peru. I'd imagine that the cost there would be much less since you'd be eliminating the importer's mark up and the other middle men. I've looked for other related products in Colombia before without much success.

MVG,

Welcome to the forum! Congrats on the nice web sites. I didn't know there was a restriction to new posters on posting links but it's most likely to discourage spammers from doing their hit and run here. I took a peek at your other sites and if the ones below are yours, you did a good job on them too. You're only three posts away from that magic number ten post but I'll include your links here for others that might be interested in viewing them also.

BTW, who is the lovely on http://www.colombiachica.com/ ?

Thanks! Since I'm the new guy I won't be able to answer private messages until I have 15 post. I will be posting more info about Medellin.

Anyone who would like to contact me in Medellin can view the site "Medellin Executive Hotel" where my numbers and email address are listed.

Thanks again..............................

Ray or Tonk,

Does the board really need a 15 post restriction before a PM can be answered? Can we possibly change that? Obviously MVG isn't a spammer but one of the good guys.

Tinto -

MVG is also a business and may profit from posting here. I am sure he will be a good source of info for all here. Maybe he is working on a banner with Ray.

Love - Micky
