Thumbs up

The repeal IMBRA petition is up over 2000 signatures, in about a month.

Thanks to all the signatories!

(This new law kicks in on Monday, March 06, 2006.)

Keep the heat on, and please pass the petition to all you know who support the cause against IMBRA.

I hope to use the petition signatures to approach my Senator and ask if he will consider offering a repeal, amendment or hearing on IMBRA. (Sen. Specter, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman).

We need more signatures frankly to have a realistic hope. But the fight will go on.

Gary,

Although given a large part of this new law might take away from your business, which in turn affects your pocket book, I can certainly understand your frustration, but I think there are some positives to the new law, but certainly there's more negatives. I admire your persistence, but fighting city hall or even Congress is an uphill battle at best.

I think it is what it is and it's too bad Congress has not enacted a law regarding the increasing sex tourism scene to 3rd world countries. These assholes are giving all of us a bad name.

Gary, I wish you the best of luck with your petition.

Gary,

Most of the members on the board of Gringos realize how ineffective this law will be. I would like to say that there would be ANY good as a result of this law, however the construction is poor and provisos for good faith compliance are non-existent. IMHO it is not only a poorly written law, it is also legislation with an agenda.

I also thank you for continuing the fight.
