Default Friend or Novio?

My novia from Panama is going to be applying for a tourist visa in the next month and I was wondering if it would be better for her to not mention the fact that she is coming to see her novio ,that she is coming to visit a friend, would it look better as far as the interview goes, she has a good steady job in panama, family, bank account, etc. I do not want them to think she is coming here to marry me and then overstay her visa.

well If I were you I wouldn't have her say she'd comming to visit you. Simply she is going on vacation and make sure she learns about touristic places.

The less information she tells them about your relationship, the better off she is. Why open up a can of worms? I understand that Panamanians have much better odds obtaining a VISA vs Colombians. The odds are in her favor. Does she have friends/family in the US? Is this her first time soliciting a VISA? There's a lot of factors here to consider.

Good luck and keep us posted.
