Post Immigration Marriage Fraud

A federal sting yesterday caught 80+ people involved in immigration marriage fraud by four companies based in FL. Most of the immigrants involved were from Central and South America.

ICE is reportedly stepping up marriage fraud investigations.

Federal law imposes up to 5 years in prison if convicted of marriage fraud.

Er….Gary

Some guys I have known referred to marriage as ‘being in prison’. I take it this is a different kind.

Interesting to note though. the length of the prison sentence is about the same number of years many marriages last. A coincidence do you think?
