Default K-1 Application--Police Report

I met my fiancee through the Internet--have visited her in Colombia a number of times and we are about to send in the Visa application, but her advisor in Colombia claims that I must send in a "Police Report" on myself. Her advisor works in an agency and I am assuming she thinks this is necessary for couples who meet in an agency--or am I wrong? I don't see in the application where I need to send in a police report. Any advice would be appreciated. --thanks--

Im no expert, but I think the police report is ONLY is you are going to marry there. When you spply through USCIS they do a check on you through the known sexual offenders database, they also look for domestic abuse, rape, felonies, and weapons/drug violations. So I dont know why the USCIS would need that when they are getting it via the FBI NCIC check they are going to run on you. I would ask an attorney. My friend just had his app approved and his fiance gets here from Colombia next week, and I just asked him for you. He said he never sent in anything like that.

What I have been able to find out is that if you don't have any of the criminal offense related boxes checked "yes" then you do not need a police report. Doesn't hurt to include it, but not necessary.
