Default San Andres, answer to the nightmare?

After weeks of trying to meet the requirements for the documents they need, approved, translated, and such I am thinking of just doing the San Andres wedding. Only your passport is needed. Probably cheaper than what I got going now anyway! Has anyone done this? It sounds too good to be true.

SO -

A YEAR ago tomorrow! We did San Andres BECAUSE of the special law, and it is true, your passport and the wife's current national register. A Paisa named Rafael is the ONLY noteria on the island, Dora did the fellow Paisa thing on him to get the rate reduced. Good luck brother.

Love - Micky

Sailover,

Con - grats! Please let us know how it all works out.

We thought about going the San Andres route...more of her family members would be able to attend, however, her parents came here to Panama instead.

The plan was to have the whole shebang in Cali, but this paperwork is a *****, so we will have the civil in the Islands (man) and then a religious ceremony in Cali for the family. Not a bad compromise.
I will let you know how it goes.
I am 77, she is 17. What could go wrong? (oh, and she wants new boobs for her wedding. That isn't a red flag, is it?)

Not a thing will go wrong. Just use the Gringo "boobs" method. She gets one done in Cali and the other one done when she arrives in the U.S.

Sounds great! Can you give us a Gringotalk half off 250 dollar special? I am looking for those wedding rings (you always need a set). I will use my flyer miles and get outa dodge. I will send an email and get a bride set up and then it's off to the island. What a country!
