I think I have a solution for the new laws. Although there are many issues involved. It seems the main issue is the contact info. Why not change the way agencies do business. Instead of paying alot of money up front (for contact info) why not use a sliding scale. Something like this: The gringo shows up at the agency and tells the folks there what he has in mind. He is introduced to woman he is interested in. When he decides on one woman to be his exclusive novia he is charged $100. Later, when he prosposes marriage, he is charged another $300. When the visa is approved and she arrives in the U.S. (UK?) he is charged another $500. When he marries her he is charged $1000. This way no one will be wasting anyone's time. No gringo will be having citas with women he dosen't want. Of course this will work both ways. No women will have citas with guys they don't want to meet. The agency won't have to do the contact info unless the gringo is in the foriegn country. I believe alot of gringos will show up when after they realize no money changes hands unless some success is realized. If there is no success no problem. It didn't cost the gringo anything. If there is success I think the gringo would gladly pay the fees.

Heck, you could carry that on for a life time, just like a life time membership in an agency. At each aniversary he'd have to pay another increment and the same with each child. Or maybe reverse the charges, $2,000 up front, then rebates when he finds a fiancee, gets married, and so on.

Pope, I think the contingency method would work best rather than rebates. After your marriage payment your done. The children are free.

Clay, It's a variation of a Russian agency owners idea. He charged $50 for a lifetime membership and substantial amout if you married a woman you met on his St. Petersberg tour. If I remember correctly his tour cost about 5,000-6,000 dollars. I think it was about two weeks and the price included: hotel, airfare, limo, personal translator, etc.

Any agency owners like to comment (or anyone else)? I think it would be a win win situation for everyone.

Eman, you did it! Yes, congratulations are in order. The HOF link still looks a little out of symmetry and needs another 500 poster to balance out the ends. I would volunteer and run for the position but that music sort of scares me off. I don't want to turn into some Norse-god deity!
