Bomb explodes in Cartagena!

I just got off the telephone with my novia and she said that there was an explosion at the utility company there in Cartagena. Be Careful when travelling. D-Train

Statistically, the chances of being in the place where the bomb goes off is next to impossible. One would have a better chance at winning the lottery first!

Two killed in bomb attacks in Colombia

Cartagena, Colombia, Apr 19 (EFE).- Bomb attacks Friday at two Cartagena offices of northern Colombia's principal electric utility company killed at least two people, authorities reported.

Police said they de-activated two other bombs and arrested three suspects in the attacks. At least one other person was wounded in the blasts at offices of Energia Electrica de la Costa (ELECTROCOSTA).

Those killed were described as a woman and a guard at an office downtown. The second blast took place at an ELECTROCOSTA office in the Manga de Cartagena neighborhood, police said.

Bombs? This is just the beginning of the bombs. Wait ´till Uribe becomes the President, if he lives that long.

Spoke to my fiancee last night. She said some of the people in Cartagena think the bombings were intended to scare people as Colombians go to the polls next month to vote for the next president.

Everything is OK now in Cartagena.

The military has had trouble tracking down the 17,000-strong FARC in their jungle and mountain hide-outs. But the army said on Friday that a guerrilla deserter reported that 100 rebels were killed earlier this week by an air force bombardment in mountains near the Caribbean city of Santa Marta.

Uribe must have huge nads to want to run for president! I wish him luck, but he might as well have pasted a target on his back!
