Exclamation "Dangerous Drug in Colombia You Need to Know About"

“Dangerous Drug in Colombia You Need to Know About”

I found this good Amateur Short Documentary about “Scopolamine” known as “Colombian Devils Breath” by accident. It is Very Eye Opening! Some of you Veteran’s here might already know about this but, I’ve been a member of this site for more than 2 years and I don’t remember ever hearing about it. Well, this little film will definitely make you think twice about going anywhere in Colombia alone. Some say this drug is only good for Robbery, Rape and Murder! Includes interviews with Perpetrators and Victims who tell there horror stories. This is definitely a Scary Drug! The Date Rape Drug GHB Pales in comparison to this drug.

“Colombian Devils Breath , video is split into 9 parts each around 5 minutes each.

Thats some scary **** !
I was warned about this stuff for the first time
during my recent visit to MED.
The guy said that if any stranger comes up to you
HOLD YOUR BREATH ! Either that or walk around town
with a surgical mask.

Nice link to a horrible eye opener. The blowing of the powder in ones face is something I have never heard of -- very scary.
Many moons ago I was staying at a budget hotel named the Casa De Viajero in Cali. About four doors down on the same street was a night club that I decided to check out late one night. It turned out to be a, "buy me a drink" - bar girl kind of place. I had a one drink, then one girl distracted me while another was bringing my new drink. I felt that something was wrong when the girl bringing my drink started encouraging me to take a sip. Having read the Lonely Planet Travel Guide's Warnings for Colombia, I chose not to drink my new drink. Later that night a girl from another area of the club came over to my table and took a big gulp from my drink. Unlike the description of Scopolamine keeping someone conscious, whatever was in that drink knocked her out -- within minutes she was horizontal and snoring.

Working in the merchant marines, I have done alot of adventerous solo world traveling. By staying alert to the local and travel guide warning and applying common sense alot of adversities can be avoided. I have felt my most uncomfortable moments solo in NYC, LA and NOLA. In fact, my worst mickey in the drink experience occurred my first visit to the French Quarter. Luckily I ran out of the club before the drug took effect. I awakened the next morning on a street corner when someone was picking at my wallet. Luckily a taxi drove up and the thief ran off before he got anything. I have no recollection of what occurred between when I ran out of the club and when I awakened on the street corner.
