Default I thought it was just a Game?

The people down south seem so funloving. Why do they kill each other over football (soccer)? Correct me if I am wrong but, I don't remember anyone in the U.S. ever getting stabbed or killed at any sports event here. Much less 80 people getting stabbed. I guess soccer is all they got so, stab a few if you lose.

So what's your point? That statement was pretty condescending don't you think? There are troublemakers everywhere throughout the world, or did you forget that those British Hooligans are a bunch of peace loving blokes?

E-Man -

Got to go with KP on this one. The British soccer nuts make my Latino brothers look like rookies. And really when you consider the number of football games (there is MUCH more than just the big leagues) "down south" and the natural passion of my Latinos, I think that they are, by and large, very well behaved.

Love - Micky

There are some fatalities in the U.S. centered around sporting events but its usually issues that have nothing to do with the event. People have been stabbed or shot in the parking lots over a few words or at an after party. I have seen a few sloppy alcohol driven fights at the Oakland Coliseum but security usual takes care of that, also if you have noticed we have security watching the fans not the game looking for **** about to happen.

Let's not forget about the wonderful city of Philadelphia who draws only the best fans and actually has a place for a judge to sentence the fans and a jail inside the stadium. Class act all the way.

Don't forget the riots when a sports team wins the big one up here. It's sickening. Seems like the Lakers had a pretty bad one not too long ago.

Looting, burning cars, assulting women...and the list goes on.

Thumbs up Re: I thought it was just a Game?

Good to hear from you Ciza,

I enjoyed your Mexico City report.

It must be much more civil to attend a Steelers game than an Eagles game.

Do you have one of those little terrible towels to wave around when you get excited.

I don't think I'll attend any Pro Football games any time soon. The sports bars are bad enough. If that's any representation of football fans, no thanks.

And the concessions, like parking and beer and food services; it's like a bunch of sharks in a feeeding frenzy for your money. Kind of reminds me of staying at a hotel on the strip in Vegas; they have it down to a science. How to extract as much money as possible out of your wallet.

Welcome back.
