Here is a good article on it, they are planning on many more kidnappings this year!!! FARC YOU FARC!!!!! Well maybe it will limit the number of mongers that go down there , but who knows! It defintely limits the tourism! The pacific side and area close to Panama border look so beautiful.

Adios tourism. They are FARC'ing up the country....................Last I had heard, the relationship between Panama and Colombia is such that there still are no roads going from one to the other across the swap. Anyone know different ?

There is no road between Panama and colombia, because it is serious jungle and hardcore terrain! I think that is why the Farc love it there. ALthough the guy from 10 years on 2 wheels crossed it and on his bike , althoug I think I remember him having to carry it literaly !!!!

Panama is Colombia. I do not know of any strain between Colombia and Panama. The Pan American hwy only went something like 40/50 miles south of Panama City. What LL refers to is the Darian Gap; triple thick canopy jungle, a real no mans land.
