Yesterday my fiancee and I were watching Univision in Phoenix and the top seven stories included:

(1) Pictures of thirteen people who have been found dead in the dessert walking from Mexico into the US.

(2) A series of five home robberies in Phoenix where gangs broke into occupied homes, terrorized and ribbed the occupants.

(3) In the same family a 8 year old boy was killed by a hit and run driver in September and this week their 11 year old son was also killed by a hit and run driver.

(4) A driver shot another driver because he cut him off (or thought he cut his off).

Gentlemen, unless you live on a farm in Wyoming, you are probably as safe in Colombia as you are in the US. My fiancee reacted with horror to a few of the stories. I'm just glad she didn't say, "I'm going back to Colombia where it's safe"

This is a useless debate but if I could spare the time I would bet you $10,000 on the following. You take a car starting in Santa Marta and pass thru the following cities: Bucamaranga, Mitu, Florencia, Cali, Medellin, Cartagena and back to Santa Marta. Just a leisurely trip thru their counryside. Total miles? About 1,800. I will start in Miami and hit major cities, including the most violent of them all..Phoenix..and I will drive double what you do or 3,600 miles and we'll see who has bragging rights to the safer country. To make things even more fun.....I'll do the entire thing at night. May the safest man win

And as to your #4 above...that little stereo thumping ******* in the Borla exhaust Honda Civic DID cut me off 2X and I gave him his just deserves. Long live road rage. It makes us all more polite just like an armed society is a polite society
