Hola Todos, Check out, " Cheap Tickets". From L.A. on Copa, you can fly to Panama City with a connecting flight to Barranquilla. Buen Viaje!

My experiences with Copa have been very positive. I have used them twice to fly from Cali to Panama and return. Judging from the appearance of the interior my impression was that it was a new aircraft. Last week a guy told me that he received a great fare from Copa to fly LAX to Cali via Panama City and return. In Cali they share office space with Continental and Aero Republic at Av Sexta and 23. Just recently Continental changed my return flight to the states in October to Copa, because Continental is suspending service to Cali. September 1st . One other thing that I like is that I receive Continental FF miles on Copa as well as Areo Republic.

I recommend COPA. I have had nothing but positive experiences in my four years flying with them from the west coast and back. My only recent complaints iarethat their "seat selector" option does not work for their on-line ticket purchase. Also, the flight from PANAMA CITY to LAX is always packed with people returning from all over Latin America, including smelly backpackers, babies, and Euro-types who may or may not have showered before the flight.

Their Embraer 190 planes are top notch, with ample leg room.

Angry Re: Copa? **** COPA!

I just returned from a five week trip to Colombia. I traveled to Cartagena, Barranquilla, Cali, and Medellin on Copa and Aero Republica, Copa's domestic Colombian airline. I dragged my single suitcase everywhere without an issue, and on my last flight back to the US, they said my bag was "too heavy" and I couldnt check it unless I paid a $50 "Excess Baggage Fee" or upgraded to first class. When I asked how that fee was calculated, she said it didnt matter how much over 20 kg your bag is, the cost was "$50". I refused to pay, and the agent made me wait at the ticket counter for nearly an hour for a supervisor. As I was waiting I observed that they stuck it to about a third of the passengers this way: nothing about this in the ticket, then they stick it to you at check-in when you are trying to make your flight. When the supervisor finally showed up, I showed her my ticket and the Copa terms and conditions (I printed it out when I bought the ticket) and nowhere was this weight limit written. I pointed out that I had been flying Copa/Aero Republica around Colombia for over a month and never had to pay anything extra. When I refused to be extorted that asshole supervisor called security to remove me from the counter! Yea, on the verge of missing my flight I forked over their blood money, but I will never fly Copa again, and I have the following advice for anyone flying to Colombia: **** COPA, **** AERO REPUBLICA, AND **** THE HORSE THEY FLEW INTO TOWN ON! -- DJ Arnoldo

DJ, was your bag over weight? Did you follow up on it? I am thinking two bags at 23 kg. for the international flight.

I have travelled on it. It takes special care of passengers to ensure a wonderful flying experience. The airline now has 28 airplanes, including the Embraer 190 and the Boeing 737.
