Default I have Avianca miles

I have Avianca miles, around 55,000. Avianca uses Delta to get you to a hub US city , then Avianca to Colombia.

I have so many options, living Florida, it never seems to pay for me to use the miles.

There might be a circumstance where it makes sense for some other gringo, but do not expect a bargain from me

STM,

Have you checked out Sprint Air yet? You can fly in what they call a "Big Front Seat" for the price of coach on other airlines.

Also, JetBlue has signs up at the Bogota airport, so they must be getting close to start up.

Do you know if 55,000 is enough to get you from Miami to Medellin? Do you know if the miles on Avianca are transferrable? (I just joined and don't know all the rules). I fly there often, but my USairways miles doesn't get me to Medellin, since Avianca never completed their marketing deal with Star Alliance (USairways group). I can get to Miami "free" on miles, but don't have enough Avianca miles for a "free" Avianca ticket to Medellin. I have trips already booked for Sept and October, but if I can save some cash, you could get my ticket with your miles and I'll pay you in cash (but for less than it would cost me to pay cash directly).

Yes Bob, I have used Spirit, it nice, you have to check the website frequently to get the best deals. All the flights were full each time.
JetBlue says its on hold till 2009, they could fill the plane easy, so who knows.
The big front seat is crap , dont waste your money , theire is no seperation coach and first class, just the first 3 seats are rows of 2 seat instead of 3 seats.
No meals are given in Spirit, even in first class.

NCbachelor, Avianca miles ticket will fly you to a hub city as part of the miles ticket, for example they will fly me to tampa to atlanta , then atlanta to miami , then Miami to Colombia.
They were only charging me 35,000 to do this. But the times just dont work for me.

send me a flight plan , and I'll call them to see how miles miles and fees they charge me.
