I did not join anything, I really do not travel enough for those things to work for me. I did do a reverse of what you are thinking. I took the bus from Medellin to Ctg., because the price was so good. So I think that your plan to fly to Ctg and take the bus to Baq is very solid.

Micky, how long is the bus trip to CTG from MDE? How much is the fare? I'm thinking about taking a trip down to Medallo from BAQ, my lady wants to go to Medellin to buy clothes for her boutique.

Thx again.

The fare was $45 the trip was 14 hrs. I went on Rapid Ochoa. The bus was very good shape and fairly new. It stops often enough and has two drivers that switch off. I really like the bus stations in Colombia, they are a throw-back to the once mighty train stations of the US in earlier times, and a absolute beehive of activity.

Holy smokes!

$45 and a 14 hr bus trip VS. $98 on a 40 minute airplane flight. . . decisions, decisions.

I didn't enroll in the Spirit Club for two reasons:

1. A US mailing address is required (at least to get the free flight/gift)

2. Like Micky, I didn't think I'd be traveling enough to make it worthwhile

Update: Thanks mickey and griz, I called Jet blue today
They are taking reservations beginning the first of Feb. 2008
for Orlando to Bogota at $99 one way, and about
$300 RT. And I just booked a trip
to Bogota for Christmas and paid AA $1100!!!! AA will never
see me again. No more MIA, wow.
Of course, she said, they still need final
approval, but so far, everything looks good, and this
is great news for Florida gringos. Peace out, the BAT
