Default Baq. Trip Part 2

We all left and I put the ladies in a cab and got one myself. I told the cab driver the name of my hotel and off we went. The cab driver took me to the wrong location. He did not know where the hotel was. I gave the only card to the hotel to the ladies so I could not tell him where to go. He rode around for another hour trying to find it and asking other cab drivers. He stopped to ask for directions again and then his car would not start. This was the cab ride from hell. Anyway, he finally gets the cab started and finds the hotel—three hours had past. To my surprise, the ladies were waiting in the lobby for me.
I explained what happened and they said no problem and up to the room we went. We had a wonderful time talking and drinking the girl’s friend said she had to go after an hour or so. The girl I was interested in said she would go too and gave me her phone number and I walked them downstairs. A pleasant night cap to the hellish cap ride, but the lesson is-- always carry the address of your hotel on you!!!

Stayed awake and went to the airport to catch an early flight to Barranquilla.

Upon arriving in Barranquilla, I flew through customs and caught a cab to the hotel. The cab ride took me to through a very poor area- not a good first impression of the city. I also noticed more blacks that I had seen in any other city in Colombia. We got into a nicer area of Barr. and the driver told me that my hotel was close. We got to the hotel and soon as I asked if they spoke English and they said wait a minute and called for another person. Out of the back room comes the most beautiful drop gorgeous girl and she said hello and I said to myself “Welcome to Barranquilla”. I get a room and go upstairs.

I then go downstairs to get a drink and some food and while eating at the table next to me I notice some Americans. I asked where they were from and then they asked me was I here for the tour. I said, “What tour”? They said” The I Lov latins tour “ and I said I did not know anything about it! I just choose this hotel because I had read about it on a trip report on the gringo’s website. The website was down so I could not more info or contact my friend DCNUPE to get more info about Barranquilla.

Anyway, I spoke to and met some of the guys. Some of the newbies had a lot of questions for me and I told them to be calm and enjoy the trip. Some of them had the attitude that they had to find a wife on this trip. Gee calm down guys and just enjoy the whole experience I told them. They were shocked that I came without knowing anyone. I told them that I had been to Colombia before and it is all an adventure! Enjoy the people, the food, the culture, and the women.

I finished eating and talking to the guys and I needed some personal items and it was time to get out to see some of Barranquilla so I went to the Buena Vista Mall I had read about so much in trip reports. I am riding in the cab looking at the sites of the city and I see some drop dead gorgeous girls walking down the street. I scream out in the cab –“Look at this one”. The next block the same thing I see another beautiful lady. It looks like Barr. can match Cali.

I get to the mall and “Oh my goodness” the women that are walking around this mall. Is this Chipe Chapi or what??? Beautiful women everywhere and the mall is very nice and modern. I finished my shopping and went up to the food court for a coke and sightseeing. I notice the women will stare back at you and sort of invite you to come over. They don’t seem shy at all. I did not approach anyone in the mall and I grab a cab back to the hotel.

Upon arriving back to the hotel, there are tons of ladies all over the lobby. It was an event for the I luv latins tour. I go over to have a drink to take this in and ladies started to come up to me and introduce themselves. The aggressive ladies are always the less attractive ones. I am cordial and talk with several. I tell them I am not with the tour, but what the heck I am staying at the hotel.

I go into the internet room to check my email and many of the ladies were taking advantage of having access to the computer and I begin a conversation with one of them and she spoke some English. We talked and she had a friend with her who was very good looking but did not speak much English. I started to talk to her in my broken Spanish and I can see she was receptive. They said they were not going to the event because there was too many ladies and they did not feel comfortable competing for a few guy’s attention. I said” Let’s go to the Prado hotel and have some drinks”.
