Default Dpad y Carnvales

With great aticipation the day finally arrived friday the 16th. Leaving the airport in miami was great, they had marimondas,<a mask> congos, and drums and flutes cumbia all thru the air. the bad part was i was flying to bogota and then bquilla much cheaper. The trip to bogota wasnt a bad one very calm and peacefull, one thing i can tell you about barranquilleros, they will party anywhere, i bet that direct flight to quilla must of been a blast. As usually the flight to quilla was delayed in bogota. I started talking to this attractive blond, and she started looking at me all strange, "dont i know you" immediatly i said "no". As the conversation continued, she said "aha, you know Ingrid, she is my cousin we actually went out once", she was right, i remembered, we did go out, but she wanted something steady, and i just want to mess around, hey i was just 23 at the time.

as i said the flight from bogota to quilla was totally different people were jubiant " que vive el carnaval, que vive el ron blanco, que viven las mujeres" was the chant there was even a man with flute who started to play it and some people started dancing on the plane.

Plane finally arrives in quilla, since we arrived late, a typical town band which avianca had hired had left, no problem, my friends , el nene, cabezon, and el profe were there to great me at the airport. Of course they had a bottle of old par with them and let the party begin. After I unpack and finish our second bottle off to kilimanjaro, A bar/disco on the beach really nice, the thing about carnavales is there is alot of bands in town so you will get to see a live band in most of the disco. We had Pipe Pelaez <vallenato> and Guayacan<salsa>. Walk in was just great Nene, had some friends there and we had a table there and guess what more whiskey. At this point i needed to go to the bathroom and as i head there some stranger jumps in front of me and starts dancing, what the f<^k, and then he jugs me, **** its my dads best friend his son was hosting the party, we get bumped to the vip table with his son. My buds look at me and say, "man you got more pull than us and you are from the states."

At this table a cute little thing named vivian was there we start talking and stuff. Of course i tell her i am gringo she doesnt believe me cause the way i talk spanish, then i bust some ingles on her. and we start dancing, gentlemen there is nothing more sexy than seeing these women dance. You start very respectfull a decent distance but not to far, you start talking look into there eyes, and say something funny, if they laugh at the stupidest thing you say, the next dance get closer until you are actually hugging her, your feet are barily moving but you have your swing on,,, aaaahhhhh. Thanks to my friend old par, we started kissing, dancing laughing. She wanted my number but i had none so she gave nene her number, she wanted nene number but he didnt give it to her <his girlfriend is super jealous>.

Sabado 17 el desfile de flores

Wake up with a hanover at Nenes house, his mom the sweet lady that she is has our refajo ready <beer and kola roman and some lime, this is used to treat el Gauyabo<hangover>>. We eat some "sopa de guandu con carne sala" bean soup with salted meat, delicous.

Nene is a respected orthodontist and volunteers for the civil police, so we again have the hookup for "el desfile de flores" a very colourfull, beautifull parade that is celebrated on that 1st day of carnavales. We had tickets for the stand at the armada. But it was about 12 of us, and ofcourse, colombianos are never on time. We get there and of course i see another old friend of mine, Charlie he was already piss drunk and his girlfriend was taking him home.

The stands were oversold, the other part of party arrived a little early but couldnt save us a seat, we tried to go up but the people were xtremely rude and basically called me an asshole. Heck i paid 35 dollars for this seat, Nene tells me to go down so i go with him. Next to the stands there was a nice area where they sell hot dogs and we can see the parade perfectly, Nene Tells me "you watch all our friends will come down". El profe , and Cabezon come down, i see a beer/alcohol vender next to me and i say to him "how much for the cooler, ill pay you 50,000 pesos, and what ever is inthere, but every 45 minutes you come back with ice and check on the whiskey, and if we are low bring another bottle, and we will pay, but the cooler stays" no problem. Just like Nene said, they all came down and we had a blast we can see the parade and everything. and guess who else there, Vivian, we danced the whole night. it was a blast, by the way that lady that called me an asshole, she came down and asked me for some ice,and like a good costeno, i said, sure, but its gonna cost you 500 pesos she went back up pissed as **** and my friends were on the floor laughing. Dont remember much of that just waking up at Vivians house with totally differnt clothes than i had at the parade.

that is it for now stay tuned for the second report

Domingo 18 La gran parada

Well, i woke up with a huge hangover, and tried to leave Vivians house, but its hard to get a cab at 9 am during carnvales. Viviana is cute 27 year old no kids, also divorced. We talked for a while in her balcony, her parents left to sta marta and she was going today to, but she wanted to stay with me. i told her that if she had other plans not to change them on my account. "are you sure you are a gringo, cause you act just like a costeno" i told her i would be coming back in may, she was extatic, she said she would plan a trip for me to sta marta, i hestiantly aggreed. She made some coffee and some passion fruit juice <my favorite> and orded some empanadas, and she paid for it. After the feast we discussed what we were looking for right now, she basically wanted something serious, and she said she knew i was something special. Me, I told her I just wanted to take it easy, get to know her more and stuff I noticed she was upset but I told her the truth, and she was pleased at that. I told her that I was attracted physically to her, but i needed to get to know her better if i was to get serious with <**** i sound like a chick>

Now before you gringos start jumping to conclusions and stuff relax. Hey i came to meet women and have fun and if things fall right maybe meet the one . I am not going to fall for the first girl i see. I have read to many horror stories about guys going crazy for the first girl and then she just uses them. And i dont consider myself a monger but if a woman wants to have sex with me am i gonna say no, would you guys say no. I think not

Well her mother calls her and tells her when is she leaving, thats my cue to leave. I call Nene, and his girlfriend just left so he was going to pick me up. This girl was very sweet, and cute, maybe but she is off to sta marta and i am staying here in quilla.

Nene picks me up and we go to his moms house to eat some fish soup. Cabezon, and Profe are there already. We started to talk about going to la gran parada, <the big parade > we voted against, though i had never seen it, we were going to big party in el prado that night and it going to last till 7 am so we decided to rest up. also this gave me some time to call my family and say hi.

Bad move they were angry at me cause i didnt call them or stay at there house. I explained to them that I was just there for a few days , but they still wanted me to go over to there house for diner. I was gracious and said thank you but it would have to be another time. I called my beautiful cousins erika, and laura and they were gonna come right over. I hadnt seen them for a while and was looking forward to seeing them. especially erika, she is like my best friend over there i can talk about anything with her. They came buy and we talked for 3 hrs about everything the crazy **** i used to do down there, just to meet women <sorry that is another story>. Erika told me she has a friend that would like to meet me no problem i said. i asked, "so you guys are heading to el prado or what" they said no they went the night before. They told me that they were going on sunday, a week ago, and i wanted to meet erika's friend. i even offered them to pay theyre way in, they said no right away <very proud women these two are> . well it was time for them to leave, but i promised them i would go by for lunch tommorow and erika promised me that emily her friend would be there.

After they left, my cousin in miami gave me a gift to give his girlfriend on his behalf, called her up and she was in her friends car and they were just minutes away. Cool i get that out of the way. in comes mauren, which is my cousins girlfriend and then arrives la amigita ,gauo, or wow. what a babe, what a body this amigita has. I offer some drinks, and we start talking this and that. Thank god for the heat in quilla, these women were very little clothing, and love showing cleavage. Enseguida, <quickly> i asked them what are they doing tonight, they are going to el prado, fantastico. "were do you want to meet" we will be here at 8 oclock sharp. so far this trip is pretty good

El Prado
Profe and Cabezon, already called and they would get there a little earlier. Nene had a girl coming in from medellin so we would be a little late, but Mauren and Lorena arrived just in time. Now Mauren looked great, but she is my cousins girl, an untouchable, and Lorena was wearing a yellow tank top, id say 34c's and jeans so tight, i dont know how she got them on. this girl definatly has an hour glass figure. The more i talked to her the more i liked her. Nene's friend arrived and off we went.

We got there at 9pm and the place was packed. They were six bands there that night, and this was not a cheap ticket gringos 90,000 pesos, and nothing was included a bottle of wiskey was about 300,000 peso, so we went the cheap rout, Once Caldas rum. You guys need to experience this because words cannot describe it. Dancing the whole night live bands, a cool breeze from the ocean it was great. i danced with lorena, mauren, maria e, pretty much i didnt stop. Lauren and i talked for a while and danced pretty much, she is very intelligent woman, 25 no kids never been married. She doesnt want to leave bquilla, she loves it there. She has good job here, and she is not looking to get married, wow this is what i was looking for. She was very gentle and would talk to me always with a smile, and looking at me, i was afraid that she would see me melt like puddy in those eyes. She asked me questions about work, my life here in the states and if i had a girlfriend. I told i was divorced, and she said she was sorry to hear that, and she didnt mention it again. wow what a woman, i think cupids arrow had hit me but i remember that the next morning i had to see emily. I had a wonderful time at el prado, even though it was a little costly i had a blast. Cabezons girl left him there she ran off with guess what, a gringo. man we just wouldnt stop messing with him <mamando gallo>. I saw many an old friend there they all came up to me with a hug and a drink. The love i have for my friends and they have for me is unreal. Something i didnt want to happen happened, my xmother in law was there and so was my x's sister. we sat and talked for a while, they hugged me and just told me that they loved me very much. well lorena was furious, i had to explain to her that my xmother in law was very special to me, she loved me like a son <she did not talk to my x wife for 6months because of the divorce>. Well it was a blessing cause she would not let go of me for nothing. <not even to the bathroom>

It was 6 am and we were beat, we decided to go home. As we are taking the girls home, Lorena gentley embrazes my had and gives me a smile that was just magnificant. as we leave lorena home she tells me i want to sleep asap, i just want to dream about you, i gently give her a peck on the mouth and tell her, that i would do the same

this is one good trip

A good knowledge of the language and great familiarity with the local customs - now, that really makes a huge difference, doesn't it?...

Great posts DPad - keep'm coming!
