Post

I just returned from a 3 week swing through
Colombia (Barranquilla and Cali), meeting
with clients and friends. It was an enjoyable
and productive trip.

1. Immigration
*I met with the Consular Agent for the U.S. Consular Office
in Barranquilla to discuss some issues. (For anyone who may
not know, this office only handles non-visa immigration issues
such as passport issues.)

*Our all-new Immigration website is now online. We're still
working out a few bugs. But the new site adds some interactive
features to the old site's content, and continues to offer people
a lot of free information. Many thanks to Josh Wilcox, E-Maze
and friends and supporters who offered ideas and suggestions.

See: www.VISA-Attorney.com

*USCIS now has a periodic newsletter you can subscribe to,
if you wish.
USCIS Today Newsletter published by Office of Communication
(July 2005)(Inaugural Issue)

of any updates on the USCIS website), go to this page:

Travel Tip - TSA (Transportation and Safety Administration) is
authorized to break open any locked baggage in air transit.
Your choices are to travel with unlocked bags or use TSA-approved
locks. These TSA-approved locks can be opened without breakage
by TSA personnel. Thus, you can keep things safely locked, without
fear of lock breakage during transit.

2. Socials
Both in B/Q & Cali, I visited with several of the tour groups
of a couple of the large tour companies. In B/Q, one of the big
tour companies had about 21 gentlemen attending, while in Cali
it was about 65 to 70 gentlemen. About 300+ ladies attended
each of all the socials in both cities.

Without taking away from other options, some of which may be
lower cost, such as Internet websites (Amigos.com, etc.) or
magazine correspondence or individual travel to meet ladies
through friends, the large romance socials are one viable and
active way for busy gentlemen with limited time, to meet a large
number of lady prospects with the benefit of personal attention
and group safety.

Spanish - The men who had some Spanish skills enjoy a strategic
advantage in courtship and relationship-building, from what I could
see. If you can't learn Spanish fast, learn it slow; if you can't
learn it slow, learn one word a day. Go to this website and subscribe.

Investigation - Many men who become serious about a lady in Cali,
ask me about a private investigator in Cali to check out a lady's past,
(under the "Trust But Verify" Reagan doctrine). Check with me
privately if you want to get ahold of the investigator, who can do
police and immigration records check, and video surveillance and
provide e-mail reports.

3. Media
Felicity Schaeffer, a Phd fellow at Univ. of California, Santa Cruz,
who is writing a book on International Romance marriages,
attended one company's tours in Cali. I spoke with her, and
believe that her book will be objective and balanced.

A reporter from Time Magazine was also doing research for an
upcoming article also on International marriages, specifically
on Latin brides and fiancees. A few of the gentlemen in town
spoke with her, and I also had the opportunity to answer some of
her immigration questions. Look for the article sometime soon.

Regards,
GB

It is the fine month to visit there. The dry season also gives visitors a better chance to savor local cultural events because many festivals and fiestas take place during these periods. The best time of year to travel to Bogotá is probably during the months of December, January, February and March.
