Default Shocker-Bogota didn't suck.

We are just back from the weekend in the Big B and I was pleasantly surprised to be pleasantly surprised. It was sunny and mild with cool, clear nights. We stayed at our $15 downtown hotel and walked along 7th which they now close off to traffic on Friday and Saturday night. Lots going on. ($.50 hamburgers, DL!)
Then we took the bus down the mountain to La Mesa for the night which was also very pleasant. Climate similar to Medellin which is a nice change from Bogota's usual damp cold. This morning we left La Mesa and passed through several pueblos on the way to Ibague to change buses for home. It would be great to live in a small town like Anapoima or Minuto de Dios, but unless you were retired, I don't know what you would do. The air is so clean and the landscape as lush as lunch.
Back in Cali now, and it feels great.

I've always kinda liked it there. Shirt sleeves in the daytime and maybe a light jacket at night. Classy women. What's not to like? I usually seem to miss all the rain many post about. Must be the months I've been there. I can leave a sweltering GA. summer for some climate relief. More temperate climate is just an hour or so away.

"($.50 hamburgers, DL!)" I didn't know Krystal/White Castle set up shop in Bogotá. There's a reason they call then "sliders"...
