Hey, just a heads up to a program I purchased to communicate with several women in Brazil: Delta Translator. It's from Brazil (MicroPower, Sao Paulo), but someone has the US distribution (http://www.deltatranslator.com/). I used the program and one of the women told me that it worked quite well compared to the other machine translator I had used (a free online version at WorldLingo).

It translates webpages as well as your letters. It can read to you to aid in pronunciation too! To get the best translation, I made it a point to remove all jargon. Then I always translated English to Portuguese and then retranslated back to English to check the translation. I'd make any corrections and the retranslated again until my letter could be translated in either direction.

They also had a Portuguese <> Spanish. Since the Portuguese<>English did so well I always wondered if I could do English <> Portuguese <> Spanish?

Regards,
NorCalAzn

Be careful with those portugese translaters.
I had a letter that I once sent out to some brazileras.
Part of it said something like;
I am a gentelman looking for a good woman.

Somehow it translated something like:
I am a cowboy looking for a good ride.
