Can anyone who has used electronic translators tell me what brand they use and where it was purchased? Are they useful or are they are waste of time? thanks

I found a good one right at the electronic center at the Miami Airport for about $75. Sorry, I can't remember the name, because I gave it to my girl, so she could cheat on her English exams. BTW, I'm on my way back to Cartagena today and will check again at that store.
Peace
Eddie

Radio Shack has many to choose from. Prices were $20 - 120. I have or used most and I would say buy the cheap small one it will get you through what you need to. I do have the big one that speaks also, but I find that I hardly use it because it is larger and you cant just throw it in your pocket as you will do with the little one. I have also seen the same ones in K - Mart at the same $. Good luck.

Franklin has a new translator, called the Spanish Professor. It can pronounce both English and Spanish words and conjugate verbs. Sells for about $80 in Circuit City.

You should still take a Spanish class. No machine translates sentences for you.

Use a small pocket dictionary instead,
easier to use, quicker.

There is software that installs on PC's that does a pretty good job of translating. I use it all the time and I have it loaded on my notebook. Does wonders and is fun to use.

Check out www.lhsl.com. The software is called PowerTranslator.
